Kijk, ik heb er 20. Veel leukere lijst om uit te kiezen.
In willekeurige volgorde, maar Handle with Care, Strangelove,
Eyes without a Face, Mirror Man en Sketches of Spain zitten in de top 5.

Toch gek dat Total Eclipse of the Heart, een dikke nummer 1
in de UK en de US het in de Benelux zo uitermate slecht deed.

Ook leuk om vast te stellen dat songs als Handle with Care
en Shout to the Top in België zelfs de top 10 haalden.

* The Nits: Sketches of Spain (Heerlijk melodramatisch (Spaans?) sfeertje, een beetje vergelijkbaar met het Miles Davis-album waarnaar dit lijkt te zijn vernoemd)
* Procol Harum: Quite rightly so (Typische PH-prog: Beetje dik aangezet, maar toch luistert het weg als klassiek materiaal)
* Adam Ant: Friend or foe (Weer 'ns wat heerlijke gekte van onze post-punk-piraat)
* Hotlegs: Neanderthaler man (10CC in embryo-vorm. Het klinkt meteen al alsof we in de maling worden genomen en mede daarom houd ik van deze band )
* Roxy music: Do the strand (Schitterende artrock. TOPPER! )
* U.K.: Rendez-vous 6.02 (Prog-giganten-band die zich van hun beste kant laten zien in een notedop)
* The Nits: Red tape (Iets minder 'depri' dan het hierboven genoemde Nits-nummer, maar van gelijkwaardig niveau)
* In tua nua: Seven into the sea (Zwaar leunend op de sound van U2 circa War, maar toch alleszins zeer goed! Deze band had populairder moeten zijn.)
* Thomas Dolby: I scare myself (Over depri gesproken... Maar wel wonderschoon!)
* Althia & Donna: Up town top ranking (Semi-melig reggeadeuntje met een heerlijk zomers karakter )

Wat was ik destijds onder de indruk van Frank Duval. Die muziek zat volgens mij ook in een of andere tv-serie. Nu vind ik de liedjes eigenlijk veel te wee en zoetig. Maar voor all time's sake toch in mijn lijst gezet.
