Wereldjaar wat mij betreft. Want David Bowie's Low, Mother's Finest, de eerste Foreigner, Yes, Alan Parsons en de eerste Elvis Costello passen er niet eens in...

Grappig, dit was bij mij juist het enige jaar waar ik tot voor kort zelfs geen plaat met 4* of meer had staan. Inmiddels wel een 4.5* en een 4*, maar toch weinig toppers voor mij. In de breedte wel een aardig jaar trouwens, uit de 3.5* kan ik behoorlijk kiezen.

Deze is volgens mij van latere datum. Zijn eerste plaat vol synths en sequencers was From here to eternity, die is wel uit '77.

En op school leerde ik dat E=mc2, maar dat kan inmiddels veranderd zijn...

Volledig eens met gaucho, 1977 is één van de beste jaren in de popgeschiedenis, heel wat genres kende in dat jaar hun hoogtepunt : punk, reggae, disco, pure pop en toen kwamen de new wave en elektronische muziek ook op gang.

Een top 20 gebaseerd op de jaar top 50
met als criteria het hoogste aantal stemmen en de totaalscore.
