Eigenlijk vind ik alle albums gewoon erg goed van Pink Floyd, en ik vind 1 album een onvoldoende waard, het Ummagumma studio album vind ik een 2* waard, maar door het prachtige live album wat erbij zit, vind ik ook die een voldoende en een 3* waard. Met halve sterren geven ben ik gestopt, ik geef vanaf nu alleen nog maar volle punten.
En ook geen Saucerful Of Secrets zie ik, ook niets voor jou zeker?

Eigenlijk vind ik alle albums gewoon erg goed van Pink Floyd, en ik vind 1 album een onvoldoende waard, het Ummagumma studio album vind ik een 2* waard, maar door het prachtige live album wat erbij zit, vind ik ook die een voldoende en een 3* waard. Met halve sterren geven ben ik gestopt, ik geef vanaf nu alleen nog maar volle punten.
Saucerful zou er nog wel kunnen in komen maar Ummagumma vind ik op dit moment beter en luister ik ook meer naar. Heel vreemd album maar het doet me meer dan the Final Cut.

Tja, ik vind dat echt één van de minste Pink Floyd albums. Enkele sterke nummers, maar erg weinig pit en ook een aantal nummers die ik echt ondermaats vind (zie mijn laatste berichtje bij het album).

The Dark Side of the Moon is zeker niet veilig maar erg innovatief, zeker voor die tijd. A Momentary Lapse of Reason vind ik ook het minst goede Pink Floyd-album.

Naast albums als The Piper, Saucerful en ook Wish You Were Here is het toch duidelijk een stuk veiliger. 'On the Run', 'Any Colour You Like' en in iets mindere mate 'The Great Gig in the Sky' zijn de enige die daar buiten staan. Even kort door de bocht, maar het halve album is opgebouwd uit simpele akkoorden.
Wat ik ook mis op The Dark Side of the Moon is vrijheid, een element wat zeker de vroege Floyd juist zo sterk maakte.

Inmiddels wisselen Animals en WYWH van positie. De rest blijft staan. The Wall gaat het voor mij winnen van Meddle denk ik. Meddle heeft natuurlijk Echoes en het schitterende openingsnummer. Daar kan The Wall niet tegenop. Maar The Wall als geheel is knapper vind ik.

Ik ben momenteel Meddle aan het beluisteren, maar ik denk eerlijk gezegd dat dit, tot nu toe, mijn top 5 wordt:

Division Bell zou zomaar bij een herluisterbeurt boven Meddle kunnen komen (hoger denk ik nog niet).
De begintijd van PF (met Syd) moet ik nog ontdekken, maar ik denk dat die periode toch minder zal zijn. Atom ben ik ook zeer benieuwd naar!
