Anders is het geen doen natuurlijk. Als je zonder keuzelijst werkt, zal je nooit een duidelijk top krijgen. Er zullen hooguit een paar albums echt een mooi aantal noteringen krijgen. Voor een vrije keuze moet je veel meer deelnemers hebben (en dan denk ik eerder aan duizenden).

Overigens was het al die tijd vrije keus geweest, dus in die zin is deze lijst wel democratisch tot stand gekomen.

Maar je hebt gelijk, het is misschien ook hetgeen dat sommigen er van weerhoudt om mee te doen.

Is er al iets bekend over de puntentelling? Wel of geen 'startbonus' bijvoorbeeld? De grootte van mijn lijstje zal er waarschijnlijk vanaf hangen en de deadline komt al aardig dichtbij.

De insteek (voor mij) was om een top 50 van 50 t/m 1 te laten gaan en een top 37 van 37 t/m 1, over de daadwerkelijk puntentelling kan nog getwist worden (bv. de glijdende schaal van inquestos of 100-51, ik noem maar wat).

Maar omdat dit zowel veel meer werk oplevert in Excel en het aantal deelnemers te klein is om een dergelijk systeem te hanteren (een top 50 is dan wel heel veel meer waard dan een top 20), wordt er voorlopig gewoon een systeem gehanteerd waarbij de nummer 1 altijd 50 punten waard is, ongeacht de grootte. Een top 37 wordt dan 50-14 (edit: 14 ipv 24, inderdaad) (nogmaals, slechts een voorbeeld).

Mooi. Dat lijkt me wel zo eerlijk. Ik ken namelijk niet eens vijftig albums uit de lijst (43 om precies te zijn) en zou het zonde vinden als mijn nummer 1 minder punten krijgt dan die van iemand die toevallig wat meer albums kent.

Ik ga aan mijn lijstje werken!

Dat was dus wel de insteek. Iemand die alle albums al kent, zou een grotere stem moeten hebben dan iemand die nog niet eens een top 50 bij elkaar kan sprokkelen. Op deze manier wordt het verschil echter veel te groot, dus ik vind het prima zoals het nu is.

Maar er is ook de mogelijkheid dat iemand bewust geen top 50 maakt, vanwege een te laag niveau, met name liefhebbers van zwarte muziek zullen hier toch weinig heil kunnen zoeken.

O, op die fiets! Nu kan ik je helemaal volgen Chevy

Ik denk ook niet dat ik een top 43 (voor mij het maximum) zal maken. Albums waar ik maximaal 3,5 sterren voor over heb horen eigenlijk niet in mijn lijst thuis.

Mee eens, ik heb zelf ook geen flauw idee tot hoe ver ik zal komen. Ik denk alle albums met 4,0* of hoger. Heel misschien aangevuld met wat albums die net iets lager scoren, maar waar ik wel heel veel waardering voor heb, bv. What's Going On of Future Days (die laatste staat overigens niet in de lijst).

En uiteindelijk bleek dat ik ruimschoots genoeg favorieten had, sterker nog, 30 van de bovenste 50 zijn 4,5* en de overigen komen daar (dicht) tegenaan.

Vanwege de verschillende groottes van de lijstjes kan ik dat niet zo 1, 2, 3 zeggen, maar het zijn er iets meer dan 40, geloof ik.
