Het is om strontziek van te worden. Gentlemen staat zelfs op 196 in de top 250. Onpopulair is het album dus zeker niet.

Geen idee wat er zo radicaal misliep.

Gentlemen haalde niet eens de top 100 van de jaren '90, terwijl bv. Souvlaki met ongeveer half zoveel stemmen en een vergelijkbaar gemiddelde op plaats 30 belandde (Lisa Germano kwam zelfs hoger uit, met slechts een dikke 80 stemmen), soms loopt het idd vreemd.

Oh er is zeker 'zwarte' muziek die me kan bekoren: Otis Redding, James Brown, Miles Davis, Billie Holiday en BB King om maar wat te noemen (Marvin Gaye en Stevie Wonder heb ik helemaal niets mee helaas, en Jimi Hendrix is geweldig, maar toch rock uiteindelijk), maar daar ken ik nog te weinig van om ze in mijn lijst op te nemen. Ga ik zeker nog verder verkennen. Howlin' Wolf ken ik niet, zal ik ook checken.

En laten we eerlijk zijn, de beste zwarte muziek is van Elvis!
