Goed mensen, voordat we straks beginnen nog even wat algemene zaken:

- Er is een volledig open loting geweest middels een randomizer; er zijn geen beschermde platen. 

- Na elke ronde zal ik opnieuw een open loting houden: het is dus niet zo dat de winnaar van battle 1 tegen de winnaar van battle 128 speelt, etc. Nieuwe loting na elke ronde. 

- Elke battle zal 1 winnaar kennen die doorgaat naar de volgende ronde.

- In ronde 1 geldt: zodra een plaat 5 stemmen heeft gekregen, wordt de volgende battle geplaatst.

- Iedereen kan de volgende battle plaatsen zodra de vorige voorbij is. 

- Wanneer een battle niet tot 5 stemmen voor een plaat komt, geldt de 24 uur regel. 

- Wanneer de stand ook na 24 uur nog gelijk is, gaat de plaat die als eerste het hoogst aantal stemmen kreeg door naar volgende ronde.

- Een vriendelijk, doch dringend, verzoek om alleen te stemmen als je beide platen goed kent; geen haat-stemmen of stemmen wanneer je slechts één van de twee kent.

Een vraagje: welke versie van Roustabout wordt hier bedoelt? Ik vind Blackwell's Roustabout een stuk beter als de andere (wie schreef die ook al weer; het was een duo?).

spinout: Roustabout die daadwerkelijk bij de film hoort, de openingstrack van het filmalbum. Niet de versie die als I'm a Roustabout op bv Second to None te vinden is.

Er zitten trouwens wel lastige battles bij zeg! Bij gelijke kwaliteit gaat het bij mij om de beleving, herinnering en gevoel bij een nummer. Of misschien maakt die ene zaligmakende noot gezongen door Elvis wel het verschil. Of wordt het toch gewoon een door een dobbelsteen besliste keuze? Niet dus, het wordt telkens een weldoordachte beslissing, of weldoorvoelde natuurlijk. Er staat nu een rode streep onder weldoorvoelde, dus is het blijkbaar geen goed Nederland woord. Het geeft wel weer wat ik bedoel, dus houd ik 'em erin. Succes iedereen trouwens!
