Om op de hoogte te blijven wat er speelt kijk ik op musicmeter bij de updates onder forum. Daar staat een pagina met allerlei topics. Via deze pagina blijf ik op de hoogte van lopende discussies bij de diverse forumtopics, in de afgelopen 30 dagen.
Ik baan mij dan door allerlei topics heen zoals - Wat eten we vandaag? - Algemeen sporttopic (geen voetbal) - Wandelen - Laatst bekeken film - Kattendraadje.
Niet direct mijn favoriete muziekgenres. Het boeit mij niet wat jullie vandaag eten. Er staat ook een topic tussen met 3 fijne en een topic met 3 minder fijne gebeurtenissen.
Daar heb ik iets meer mee.

Laat ik hier 3 minder fijne gebeurtenissen benoemen:
1) dit topic Greatest hits staat niet in die lijst van bovenstaande updates. Daardoor kom ik dit topic niet tegen. Is er een reden voor dat ie er niet bij staat?

2) ik kwam er zojuist achter dat ik in dit topic Greatest hits of Rock and Roll ('50's Rock 'n' Roll)! al twee rondes gemist heb. Dankzij mijn afwezigheid haalde Elvis Presley met zijn `Mystery Train` niet het volgende station. En met `That`s Allright` kwam het ook niet goed.

3) herman heeft diverse mensen getagd maar mij niet uitgenodigd voor zijn feestje. En dat feestje is al bijna afgelopen. Iedereen is dronken van de heerlijke muziek. Als ik zo`n feestje heb dan nodig ik herman altijd uit. Daarbij denk ik dan aan de refrein van dit liedje.

Waarom staat deze Buddy Knox er niet bij? Je zou kunnen stellen dat hij teveel op die andere Buddy lijkt. En dan kan je ook nog het volgende stellen:
Maar let op de details. Let op die dames in het achtergrondkoortje. Die zingen zo heerlijk asynchroon door Buddy heen. Dat vind ik uniek aan dit nummer en daar kan ik geen genoeg van krijgen.

Wat een half gemist feestje betreft. Het kan nog veel erger. Buddy Knox had in 1999 terminale longkanker. Hij had een afscheidsfeest georganiseerd maar stierf net een paar weken te vroeg.

Laat ik dan nu ook 3 fijne gebeurtenissen benoemen:
1) alle 20 door jullie geselecteerde nummers vind ik goed.

2) Rock and Roll uit de 50s is mijn meest favoriete genre van alle muziekgenres. Fijn dat er aan dat genre aandacht wordt besteed. Het is het hof van Eden van de moderne popmuziek waar iedereen (wit of zwart) uitgenodigd wordt. Mooi dat Superbitch voor de vrouwelijke gasten zorgt.
Die door de heren hier allemaal weer zijn weggestuurd.

Dat van de jaren 50 kan je ook weer van twee kanten bekijken.
Dat doen deze jongens ook.
Als we er van uitgaan dat een decennium 10 jaar is en het jaar 0 niet bestaat dan loopt het eerste decennium van 1 tot en met 10. Als je dan door telt dan kan je de periode 1951 tot en met 1960 ook tot de jaren 50 rekenen.

Ik pas. Net zoals het nummer van Bill Haley is ook het nummer van Danny & the Juniors een re-recording en daar staat voor mij een vloek op.
