Destijds werd door ‘serieuze muziekliefhebbers’ nogal neerbuigend gedaan over ‘dit soort muziek’. Infantiel, goedkoop en simpel. Gewoon k*tmuziek, zoals ik eerder al las bij een generatiegenoot. Ik denk ook dat ik iets te oud ben om dit fijne nostalgie te vinden, het waren tenslotte mijn ‘Lowlands-jaren’. Yabba Dabba Dance stond daar mijlenver vanaf. Ik vind meer dan de helft uit de lijst nog steeds behoorlijk ruk.
