Ik moet bekennen dat ik ook niet veel op heb met de commerciële dance van Radiohead.

Ik moet bekennen dat ik 9/10 van deze nummers nog steeds regelmatig luister. Enkel Cappella kwam er bij beluistering tussen; deze kende ik niet zo goed. Opvallend wel dat ie in de startlijst stond, want volgens mij waren Move Your Body, U Got 2 Let the Music en U & Me (veel) grotere hits.

Tien zekerheidjes voor de betere 90's party. Zeker naar de top 3 luister ik eigenlijk nog best vaak. En dan ben ik er vaak ook weer ff klaar mee; het is wel muziek om met mate van te genieten.

Deze van Cappella is juist een herontdekking. Hij was me destijds niet zo opgevallen, al was er een paar jaar later meteen de herkenning toen ik Happy House voor het eerst hoorde (zie ook o.a.: New Gold Dream). Net ff wat ruwer dan de meeste soortgenoten.

Rest van de top 10 ook altijd gezellig. Kantje boord bubbling under o.a. Snap! en Felix (beiden tof maar beetje te vaak gehoord, misschien een volgende keer beter) en 2 Brothers (ben eigenlijk meer gecharmeerd van hun happy hardcore-pareltje Come Take My Hand).

Ok, deze 20 in de finale, dan kies ik daar de beste 10 uit. Eigenlijk vrij makkelijk, de top 7 was meteen duidelijk. Voor 8-10 had ik 5 mogelijkheden die toch wel een niveautje lager scoren bij mij. Deze 3 zijn daar als winnaars uit gekomen.

Nummer één tot en met drie zijn favorieten binnen het genre, nummers die ik nog wel eens voor mijn plezier opzet. Nummer vier Whigfield was dan weer (zo ongeveer) mijn eerste kennismaking met populaire muziek, terwijl ik van 2 Unlimited best fan was als klein ventje. No Limit en Get Ready For This vind ik niet hun sterkste tracks, maar in dit deelnemersveld halen ze nog steeds met gemak de top tien. Daarna wordt het langzaam minder, maar tot en met nummer zestien Bailando kan ik ze toch nog prima luisteren.

Hoewel ik hem niet vind passen is Felix dan toch weer te goed om geen punten te geven.

bedacht vandaag nog 2 eurostampers die ik had kunnen nomineren: JX-Son of a gun en E-Type-This is the way, dan maar voor een volgende keer. Ben benieuwd naar de uitslag maar ik zie er 2 vrij constant terugkomen

De top 2 steekt er toch wel een beetje bovenuit, allebei geweldige nummers die ik eigenlijk alleen maar beter ben gaan vinden door de jaren heen. Al draai ik ze ook weer niet elke dag.

Sowieso veel leuks, al vond ik sommige nummers destijds geweldig en nu gewoon vermakelijk (bv. Mr. Vain, Flying High, Freed From Desire).
En van sommige artiesten heb ik toch wel echt een andere favoriet (Snap! - Rame, Culture Beat - No Deeper Meaning, Gala - Let a Boy Cry). Achteraf hadden we er dus prima een top 40 van kunnen maken.
