It is based on the track "Sepheryn" (1971), by English folk music duo Curtiss Maldoon (consisting of Dave Curtiss and Clive Maldoon).[6] In 1996, English singer and songwriter Christine Leach, Maldoon's niece, had recorded her version of the track. Leach said she had always loved the duo's work and "Sepheryn" was her favorite. She worked for a time with Orbit and recorded a demo of "Sepheryn" over a melody on which he was working. Afijn, ik vind het ook geen cover, maar geïnspireerd op. Bijna altijd is 'inspired by' gebaseerd op akkoordenschema/thema/motief, maar dat het qua tekst gebeurt en het muzikaal een volstrekt ander liedje is, dat lees ik maar zelden. Luister eens naar het origineel en probeer er maar iéts uit te halen dat, behoudens de tekst, ook maar enigszins weg heeft van 'Ray Of Light'. Wel een lekker nummer overigens en een interessante discussie, dus dank het opmerken hiervan.
