Elvis Presley KO – Deel II: 1960s

Deel I: 'The 1950s' van deze KO-reeks is gewonnen door That's All Right, één van de eerste songs van Elvis.

In 1958 vertrok Elvis naar Duitsland om zich aan te sluiten bij het Amerikaanse leger. In maart van 1960 keerde hij terug naar Amerika en dat decennium bracht hij ontzettend veel muziek uit. Maar wat waren nu de pareltjes in die periode? Laat het maar aan MusicMeter over om daar een oordeel over te vellen.

In een uitgebreide KO gaan we zien welke 60s song van Elvis hier het meest in de smaak valt.

Voordat we straks beginnen nog even wat algemene zaken. 

- Er is een volledig open loting geweest; er zijn geen 'beschermde' songs. 

- Na elke ronde zal ik opnieuw een open loting houden: het is dus niet zo dat de winnaar van battle 1 tegen de winnaar van battle 192 speelt, etc. Nieuwe open loting na elke ronde. 

- Elke battle zal 1 winnaar kennen die doorgaat naar de volgende ronde.

- In ronde 1 geldt: zodra een plaat 4 stemmen heeft gekregen, kan de volgende battle geplaatst worden.

- Iedereen kan de volgende battle plaatsen zodra de vorige voorbij is. 

- Wanneer een battle niet tot 4 stemmen voor een plaat komt, geldt de 24-uur-regel. 

- Wanneer de stand ook na 24 uur nog gelijk is, gaat de plaat die als eerste het hoogst aantal stemmen kreeg door naar de volgende ronde.

- Gelieve enkel te stemmen als je beide song kent / beluisterd hebt. Wie weet, wellicht ontdek je een nieuwe favoriet, en zo houden we het eerlijk en leuk. 

- Ik zal opnieuw een Spotify playlist aanmaken. Songs worden daar in volgorde van uitschakeling toegevoegd. Niet elke song die hier meedoet staat overigens op Spotify.

Ik zie jullie wenkbrauwen al fronsen: hey Shaky, 192 battles? 
Yes, het was even puzzelen met 60s songs van Elvis. Hij heeft er zóveel gemaakt dat ik het zonde vond om een hele hoop niet te laten meespelen. Ik ben daarom tot 384 songs gegaan; dat betekent dat we aan het eind een finale met 3 songs spelen! Dan hebben we meteen het podium compleet.
