Vooral over Sam Smiths bijdrage waren we het met elkaar eens. Slechts op 7 lijstjes (18%) werd zijn naam niet genoemd. Madonna verbleef continu in de gevarenzone, maar haalt toch nipt de finale met 15 tegenstemmen, mede dankzij een negatieve eindsprint van Tom Jones.

Dat laatste vind ik persoonlijk wel jammer, want het was dit nummer dat er vorig jaar tijdens Shaky’s GH van Tom Jones voor zorgde dat mijn interesse in de Bond-songs weer werd aangewakkerd.

In positieve zin vielen vooral de twee resterende songs van Shirley Bassey op. Beide werden niet één keer genoemd. Zijn het daarmee dé kandidaten voor de overwinning? Of zijn het slechts allemansvrienden die op weg zijn naar een positie in de middenmoot? Vrijdag weten we meer.

Hoewel jullie hem vast niet meer nodig hebben, heb ik de Spotify playlist bijgewerkt.

Tot slot nog bedankt voor al jullie suggesties voor artiesten die het verdienen om bij de volgende filmrelease (2027?) door de bioscopen te schallen. Merendeels bekende namen voor me, maar een aantal (Rosalía, RAYE) heb ik moeten toevoegen aan mijn luisterlijst voor verdere ontdekking.

Zelf zie ik Ichiko Aoba overigens wel zitten voor een mysterieuze, dromerige Bond-song. Maar aangezien ze vooral in het Japans zingt, zal die kans niet erg groot zijn…

Ik heb dat precies andersom. Weinig Bond songs die zo passend naar voren komen in de film.

Vorig jaar in de zomer de Fringe in Edinburgh bezocht en daarbij ook een show met een uitstekende zanger en zangeres die Bond-nummer speelden. Ik vind bijna alle nummers wel wat hebben, alleen 18 heb ik denk ik te vaak gehoord voor ik de film zag, waardoor ik er niet zo'n Bond-associatie mee heb. All Time High blijft bij mij nooit hangen en Skyfall kan ik gewoon niet zoveel mee. Hier in huis is het duet met Jack White en Alicia Keys de meest gedraaide Bond-song, die zou op 6 zijn geëindigd denk ik.

Verder vanaf GoldenEye de meeste films wel in de bioscoop gezien en ook een keer alle films in chronologische volgorde gekeken. Volgens mij moet ik alleen Casino Royale uit '67 nog zien.

Als kind eind jaren '80 zo'n beetje alle Bonds die op TV langs kwamen gezien, de meeste meerdere keren. Je had nog geen Netflix, dus je moest wat! Voroal de Roger Moore films waren favoriet bij mij, waarschijnlijk door de wat luchtigere toon. Dus dit lijstje is wellicht meer gekleurd door jeugdsentiment dan door de intrinsieke waarde van de songs. Al is daar trouwens wat mij betreft ook niets mis mee...
