Ik heb Abba 3 punten gegeven maar in retrospect had ik denk ik toch maar 5 moeten geven. Stelletje muziekbarbaren hier toch ook zeg.

Niks mis met ABBA op zich, ik houd er persoonlijk niet van, maar Gimme Gimme Gimme vind ik echt een draak van een nummer. ABBA heeft vele betere gemaakt.

Geheel mee eens. Bovendien valt het gewoon niet te ontkennen dat een bijzonder groot aantal nummers van ABBA gewoon ontzettend sterk in elkaar steekt. De heren Ulvaeus & Andersson waren geweldig goede songwriters. Tuurlijk, alles klinkt super gepolijst en alle rauwe randjes zijn er afgehaald, maar niet alle toffe muziek hoeft alternatief, progressief of experimenteel te klinken, mijns inziens. Om nog maar te zwijgen van de enorme invloed die de groep heeft gehad op popmuziek. ABBA hoort gewoon thuis in een best of lijst van gebruikers van een serieus forum voor muziekliefhebbers. Geen twijfel over mogelijk.
