Wat ik een beetje jammer vind is dat de KO's vaak beslist worden door wie "toevallig" op de juiste momenten online is. Misschien is het in de eerste ronde's iets minder relevant, maar het lijkt me toch wenselijk dat meer mensen de gelegenheid krijgen om bijvoorbeeld bij de laatste 8 hun stem uit te brengen. Ik pleit daarom voor een bepaalde tijd dat je kunt stemmen op een dergelijke battle, ipv een beslissing door het behalen van een aantal punten. Ik zit te denken aan iets van 12 uur, om er toch wel een beetje gang in te houden.

Misschien dat je dat vanaf de kwartfinale kan doen (de ronden daarvoor gaan te lang duren naar mijn mening). De kwartfinale duurt dan twee dagen, de halve finale één dag en je zou de finale 24 uur kunnen laten duren (dan duurt die ook één dag).
We zouden het kunnen uittesten bij de volgende KO.

07.00 - 13.00 uur

Bij 64 nummers doe je precies 10 dagen over 4 rondes.
De halve finales zou ik dan spelen van:

Er zit een storende rekenfout in dit verhaal. Bij 64 nummers doe je precies 20 dagen over 4 rondes. Dat is wellicht weer te lang. Je zou het kunnen inkorten door in de eerste ronde met 2 K.O.'s tegelijk te spelen. Je doet dan 15 dagen over 4 rondes. Samen met 2 dagen voor de finales en organisatorische vertraging ben je binnen 3 weken klaar. Dat lijkt me redelijk. Ik ben benieuwd wat jullie er van vinden. En verder is het aan de organisator wat hij er verder mee doet.

Waarom zou het te lang zijn. Ik gebruik dit topic zeker ook om nieuwe muziek te luisteren. Van bijvoorbeeld Johnny Cash kende ik zeker niet alles, maar heb weer heel veel kunnen luisteren. Maar ook weer veel gemist, omdat het soms toch te snel ging.
Twee KO's tegelijkertijd is overigens, ondanks mijn "te lang" bezwaar best een goed plan.

Ik heb gisteren een PM naar Titmeister gestuurd met de vraag of het nog ging lukken met de Aphex Twin KO. Daar heeft hij nog niet op gereageerd.

Sorry mensen, maar mij computer heeft flinke kuren, waardoor ik alleen ergens anders op de computer kan. Daardoor heb ik de Aphex Twin KO nog niet kunnen maken. Dit weekend zijn als het goed is de problemen verholpen en zou ik aan de slag kunnen. Mochten jullie dat te lang vinden duren, dan moet de volgende maar beginnen...

Ik had een ideetje voor de VU-KO, waardoor die ongeveer een week zou duren. We kunnen die ook eerst doen, dan heb jij nog ff de tijd om de Aphex Twin-KO op orde te krijgen. Draaien we ze gewoon om.

Voor de Velvet Underground KO had ik een ietwat andere opzet in gedachten dan tot nu toe meestal gangbaar was hier.
Het leek me aardig per dag twee mini-ladders te spelen en dan volgende week de laatste ronden volgens algemeen bekend KO-systeem. Dan heeft iedereen de tijd de nummers te beluisteren (zo'n KO is toch bij uitstek de manier om een band een beetje te leren kennen) en kan helemaal aan het eind van de rit nog een top 10 worden opgesteld aan de hand van de stempercentages uit de eerste ronde.
Ik heb in totaal 48 nummers geselecteerd en daar gaan we het volgende mee doen:
Voorronde:
-per dag 2 ladders van 4 nummers, je geeft per ladder +3, +2 en +1
-na 6 dagen zijn we hiermee klaar. de nummers 1 per ladder gaan door naar de achtste finales, evenals de beste 4 nummers 2.
Achtste finales: 16 nummers, tot de 7, verschil van 2
Kwartfinales: 8 nummers, tot de 8, verschil van 2
Halve finales: 4 nummers, tot de 9, verschil van 2
Finale: 2 nummers, tot de 11, verschil van 2
