Rez is echt wel trance

Trance is een subgenre van dance waarin de nadruk op de melodie, de opbouw en de euforische/spacey sfeer ligt. Een tranceplaat begint vaak met een eentonige beat, en na verloop van tijd komt er steeds meer percussie en melodie bij. In het midden van de plaat is vaak een break, die toewerkt naar een climax. Het aantal beats per minuut ligt vaak tussen de 125 en 150 en de melodie wordt vaak herhaald. In een goede tranceplaat krijgt de luisteraar het gevoel alsof hij 'in trance' is, vandaar de naam.

Nou, beginnen met een eentonige beat doet Rez al helemaal niet. Daarbij mist de plaat serieus wat "beat" en er zijn wel meer genres waarbij de luisteraar zich in Trance voelt.

Wat mij betreft is het vooral het beatwerk wat Rez helemaal geen trance maakt. En wat Underworld ook altijd zal scheiden van het trance genre.

Zo kan de halve Orbital discografie er ook nog wel bij.

Je hebt er genoeg nu toch??

Inderdaad. Zou alleen niet weten hoe je die nummers tegen elkaar moet loten (als het ten minste minder dan een dag zou duren). Als iemand dat zou kunnen zou dit erg mooi zijn! Maar misschien zijn er eerst nog wat opmerkingen of zo over de lijst, er staan vast nog wel wat fouten in...

Ik hoop dat het wat degelijk wordt, in de Eurohouse KO werd Age of Love en Universal Nation er te vlug uitgestemd. Maar dat zal in een Trance KO niet gebeuren zeker?

Tuurlijk wordt het degelijk. Het grote publiek zal van deze KO wellicht niet te veel pap moeten hebben (of het moet zijn dat ze wat komen klagen over het genre trance ). Hierdoor zal de échte trance het wel halen van de Elvisparodieën e.d. carnavaltoestanden Veel kitch staat er sowieso niet in vind ik, dus dit moet wel goed aflopen.

Er staat een Universal Nation Vocal mix in, is dat niet wat vervelend?
Ook een mix van Control (JP).

Zijn de bekendere mixen van de nummers, dus lijkt me niet zo'n probleem. Wat mij betreft is de lijst vrij om gelanceerd te worden.

Naast de mixen staan vaak ook de originele versies van de nummers erin, niet echt een probleem dus. Volgens mij staan er ook geen fouten meer in de lijst, dus als iemand zin heeft hem te lanceren, ga uw gang!

Ik zal dat doen. Ik ga nog niet alle 128 match-ups posten en youtube-links ga ik ook niet achter zoeken. Ik denk dat het niet veel werk is als je een bepaalde track nog niet gehoord hebt, om die ook zelf op te zoeken.
