In de Duitse clip van "Funkytown" is overigens onze eigen Doris D te zien (van de Pins), vandaar dat een heleboel mensen dachten dat het om een blanke groep ging. En is het niet toevallig dat "Shine up" van Doris D & the Pins wel erg veel lijkt op "Funky town"? ("Think about think about think about it")
