Ik ben echter nog even mijn bestand aan het doorbladeren en volgens mij gaan er nog een stuk meer nummers afvallen wegens de nieuwe max 16 per artiest regel dan de door El Ninjo al genoemde 6 plekken. Ik zal El Ninjo hier zo even een PM over sturen.

Zoals gezegd heb ik El Ninjo net even een PM gestuurd. volgens mij gaan er straks nog 21 nummers afvallen wegens het overschrijden van de nieuwe max16 regel dus wellicht dat er gewoon nog wel wat plekjes voor mij over zijn en dat jullie ook gewoon jullie eigen nominaties kunnen behouden.

Maar ik stel het zeer op prijs!

Niemand hoeft nummers te schrappen, Onweerwolf kan er gewoon 10 toevoegen. Ik had me even vergist in het aantal nummers dat ging afvallen agv het feit dat sommige artiesten meer dan 16 nummers in de lijst hebben.

Dat zijn er nog meer dan 10 dus kan Onweerwolf gewoon een lijstje van 10 indienen

Voor mij een stukje jeugdcement.

Toen ik 15 a 16 was ben ik eens hevig verliefd geweest, eigenlijk mijn eerste echte verliefdheid met alle gevolgen van dien; vlinders in mijn buik, onzekerheid, etc. De liefde was tot mijn grote, grote spijt helaas niet wederzijds en I Could Never Love You paste daar gewoon heel erg goed bij. Echt zo'n nummer waardoor ik me als verdrietige puber 'begrepen' voelde en dat sentiment van toen ben ik nog lang niet vergeten.

Daarnaast is het natuurlijk een fantastisch liedje, simpel maar doeltreffend waarbij het jonge honden gevoel wat Daryll-Ann toen had er af spatte. Die kruising tussen alternatief en Beach Boys achtige surfrock was onnederlands goed.

Als ik van de week weer thuis ben meteen maar even mijn CD kast in duiken om mijn I Could Never Love You EP even vast te houden.

Jeugdcement.

Ik heb de EP helaas niet fysiek in bezit. Ben wel een keer een meisje tegen gekomen die hem ook had, maar dat was het dan ook.

Volgens mij ken ik het nummer van MTV, waar ik het clipje zag (moet ook in 94/95 geweest zijn).

Zo heel af en toe kom ik hem nog wel eens tegen op eBay. Ik heb ze trouwens alle 3, de I Could Never Love You EP, de Come Around EP en de Daryll-Ann EP. Die laatste bevat een aantal nummers van de eerste 2 en is volgens mij iets later uitgebracht voor de Amerikaanse markt destijds.

Zelf ben ik nog steeds op zoek naar een originele versie van de Debuut CD Renko. Die is wel een stuk minder, want nog met Coen op zang die toch veel beter geschikt was voor backing vocals, toetsen, tamboerijnen en allerhande cursiosa maar ik wil graag mijn collectie compleet maken. Helaas kom ik die nooit tegen.

Ik heb dit jaar, tussen twee haakjes, op B&S na alleen nummers uit de jaren '00 genomineerd want alhoewel nieuwer lang niet altijd beter is, kan een beetje verjonging in onze lijst volgens mij geen kwaad. En kijk alsjeblieft op z'n minst even naar de clip gemaakt bij Keuning van de Jacht - zowel nummer als filmpje zijn prachtig!

Om een vergelijkbare reden heb ik, op één nummer na, enkel prog genomineerd. Als ik mijn eigen smaak geheel zou representeren zouden het misschien 3 of 4 van de 10 nummers zijn, maar een beetje verprogging in de lijst kan ook beslist geen kwaad.

Ik had dit al eens in het radio 2 Top 2000 topic gepost, maar ik denk dat het qua vedeling over de decennia in onze MuMeLadder allemaal best meevalt - ik vind het zelf eerlijk gezegd best redelijk evenwichtig en er staat eerder heel weinig "oud" spul in.

Ik denk dat dit laatste het beeld een beetje vertroebeld en dat mensen daarom misschien geneigd zijn te denken dat er minder "nieuwe" dan "oude" nummers in de lijst staan. Ze zijn er wel maar ze eindigen niet zo hoog.

Volgens mij ging de kritiek ook vooral over de hogere regionen. 46% van de top 100 uit de jaren '80.
