Jammer dat Magic Affair, Mo-Do en Whigfield het waarschijnlijk niet gaan halen. Echt 3 geweldige platen.

Ik mis trouwens N-Trance - Set You Free wel, was zeker niet zo'n grote hit? Is met Don't You Want My Love zo'n beetje mijn favoriete eurohouseplaat ooit.

Deze zijn prima. De rest vind ik matig tot extreem slecht. Grappig dat veel van die eurodance hetzelfde in elkaar steekt; zo snel mogelijk naar het refrein en na 1 minuut steevast een rappende neger.

Toch wel een leuke lijst, Stay Another Day en United zijn hele mooie liedjes.

De reden waarom ik die eurohouse na een tijd beu was, het werd zó voorspelbaar en de nummers van heel wat eurohousebands zijn onderling inwisselbaar. Gelukkig kwamen er ook acts die het op een andere boeg gooiden (The Grid, Doop, The Prodigy, Rednex).

Ik kende nog best veel nummers niet uit de lijst. Ik weet natuurlijk niet hoelang de dingen die de eerste keer leuk klonken, na meerdere draaibeurten nog steeds leuk zijn.

Die was volgens mij pas een hit in 1995... Doe mij overigens uit dat jaar maar Push the Feeling On van The Nightcrawlers...

Ach ja, ze kwam halfnakend uit de douche in de videoclip. Dan bouw je toch een bepaalde band op met zo'n nummer.

Desondanks niet in m'n lijstje van deze ronde, zou m'n nummer 11 geweest zijn...

1. Dat zou kunnen, ik heb de lijst nog niet klaargemaakt.

2. The Nightcrawlers staan er zeker niet tussen.
Da's wel een heel fijne clubhit, maar parkeerde in de lagere regionen van de top 10.

das zeer jammer, was waarschijnlijk mijn nummer 1 geweest...

Daar heeft Pitbull de melodie van gepikt (Hotel Room Service).

Dat is idd ook zeer jammer

Ja, die is ook erg tof. Als ik me goed herinner een nummer 4 in de NLse top 40, maar stond niet zo gek lang in de lijst. Herinner me het nummer vooral, omdat ik toen nog Koninginnedag ging vieren in Amsterdam en je daar toen dood werd gegooid met dat nummer.

Rednex heb ik zelf altijd vreselijk gevonden, maar die anderen zijn wel leuk. Over het algemeen zijn het toch vooral Nederlandse en Duitse acts die een blonde zangeres aan een donkere rapper (en niet zelden een Amerikaanse ex-militair die na te zijn gelegerd in Duitsland daar was blijven hangen) koppelen, de meeste Zuideuropese en Britse house-acts klonken toch weer heel anders.

Destijds wat stukgedraaid, maar nu weer heel fijn om te horen.

Ik ben blij dat hij de finale heeft gehaald ... leuke country gimmick.

05. Enigma - Return to Innocence
Was vooral in de UK een overtuigend grote hit.

06. Ace of Base - The Sign
En deze deed het in de UK en de US beter dan in de Benelux.

07. Prodigy - No Good (Start the Dance)
Ik ben geen fan van die jungle sound, maar deze is okee.

08. Corona - Rhythm of the Night
Grote hit in de UK en een dance kreet om nooit te vergeten.

09. Laura Pausini - La Solitudine
Een Italiaans liedje dat ik erg mooi vind.

10. Stiltskin - Inside
Eigenlijk is het vooral die onwezenlijke intro die het hem doet.

Bubbling under ... Bruce en Rednex.

Zo maar dan. Nummer 1 springt er boven uit. Nummer 2 t/m 4 zijn wel goed/leuk. Nummer 5 t/m 7 wel aardig en de andere drie ben ik eigenlijk al aardig zat.

Mijn top-10 van 1994 (de eerste 3 vind ik er bovenuit steken):

1. Cranberries - Zombie
Het nummer waarmee the Cranberries worden geassocieerd maar het blijft een ijzersterk nummer vanwege de tekst over de explosieve toestand in Noord-Ierland en de melodie.

2. Crash Test Dummies - Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm
Voor mij een eendagsvlieg maar wel een prachtig nummer met cynische tekst over kinderen gezongen met aparte basstem.

3. Youssou N'Dour & Neneh Cherry - 7 Seconds
Afrikaanse pop van Senegalese zanger in combinatie met westerse pop van Zweedse zangeres, zeer geslaagd en erg apart.

4. Bruce Springsteen - Streets of Philadelphia
Niet het beste nummer van Bruce Springsteen maar wel een erg mooie tekst over een aidspatiënt.

5. Grid - Swamp Thing
Erg origineel vanwege die banjo, heel leuk gewoonweg.

6. Enigma - Return to Innocence
Aparte klanken van Enigma, sfeervol nummer.

7. Doop - Doop
Ook dit is een apart nummer, jazz vermengd met dance.

8. Prodigy - No Good (Start the Dance)
Prodigy is één van de belangrijkste vernieuwers in de dance-scène getuige dit nummer.

9. Rednex - Cotton Eyed Joe
Ditmaal dance vermengd met country, eveneens leuk.

10. Laura Pausini - La Solitudine
Ik wil ook eens een Italiaans nummer in de top-10 plaatsen en dit vind ik een mooi nummer.

Mijn halve top 10 inclusief mijn nummer 1 en 2 eruit in de vorige ronde.
