Ik zou dit toch wel een foute foute plaat willen noemen. De vergeten hits kunnen echt niet meer en The Final Countdown zelf heeft nog wel enige historische waarde maar niet meer voor mij. Dan maar de nummers die ik vroeger het leukst vond.

De fout schuilt in het oordeel 'fout'. Dat heeft namelijk vooral betrekking op mode. Wat niet meer 'in' is zou dan 'fout' zijn. Voor zover dat al interessant is slaat het bij muziek helemaal nergens op. Bij wat je wel of niet goed vindt kan je wat muziek betreft niet fout zitten. En muziek zelf als juist of fout bestempelen is een foute elitaire bezigheid.

Als The Final Countdown wordt gezien als het beste nummer van die plaat dan denk ik dat Rick Astley niet langer meer het foutste album ooit heeft gemaakt.

Hoe fout of juist ook ... dit album heeft wel zijn fans.
Lang geleden dat er nog zo fanatiek gestemd werd.

Het is jammer dat de versie van War op dit album zwakker is dat degene die op de 12 inch van two tribes stond. Anders had ie zeker een hogere zcore gehad.
