Ik bedoelde daarmee...potentie voor mij, om er toch maar eens wat meer van te gaan beluisteren. Ik kende voor deze KO vrijwel niets bewust van Pulp. En nee...ik heb al die jaren niet onder een steen geleefd.

Ik heb de finale gemist, maar - net als velen hier waarschijnlijk - heb ik de band met Common People leren kennen. 't Is nu meer primus inter pares met een aantal tracks van His'n'Hers en Different Class dan absoluut de beste, maar ik kan toch onmogelijk onvrede hebben met de uitslag.

Even een korte uitleg: J Dilla is ook producer van veel nummers. Tracks waar een artiest bij vermeldt staan zijn dus geproduceerd door J Dilla (of hij maakt deel uit van de betreffende groep). Allebei goed, maar de laatste 4 minuten van Can't Stop This geven de doorslag, doen me een beetje denken aan The Beatles' Revolution #9, maar dan veel muzikaler.
Mooie startlijst. Ben niet echt bekend met Dilla, maar zie een paar supernummers staan waarvan ik niet wist dat hij ze geproduceerd had.

Janet Jackson - Got Til It's Gone is overigens een vrij gewaagde keuze. Omdat Dilla nooit de credits heeft gekregen voor die track terwijl hij toch echt verantwoordelijk is voor de productie (met het collectief The Ummah). Ik ben er zelf zeker van dat Dilla wel degelijk die track geproduceerd heeft, maar zijn naam prijkt niet op de plaat zelf.

Die van Janet is ook tof (zeker voor haar doen), maar ik was wel verbaasd over de tracks van Pharcyde en De La Soul.
