Geen probleem hoor, ik neem het niet al te nauw met wat metal is en wat niet. Randgevallen en moderne metal die volgens puristen te ver van de stroming is afgedwaald mogen gewoon genomineerd worden. Laat de stemmers maar oordelen of ze dat soort nummers in de eindlijst willen.

Tja... de stroming... was dat niet ooit gewoon Steppenwolf, Led Zeppelin en Deep Purple?

Ja, maar nu niet meer. Judas Priest en Black Sabbath daarentegen nog wel. Meshuggah en Suffocation horen ook bij 'de stroming', in tegenstelling tot Slipknot en iedere -core band. Dat hun muziek even ver af staat van de oorspronkelijke 'stroming' als 'false metal' doet er even niet toe..
Nee, ik heb zelf inderdaad nooit veel van het 'true metal' verhaal begrepen en vermoed zelfs dat het een grote incrowdgrap is.

Nou ja de term Heavy Metal is naar Steppenwolf vernoemd dus een kleine waarheid zit er wel in lijkt me. Maar als de meerderheid wil dat het een "ons kent ons, zonder grote namen KO" moet gaan worden dan trek ik me vrijwillig terug...

Tsja, black metal is naar Venom vernoemd maar die speelden ook geen black metal.

Tsja en dit spel is opgezet door MDV maar andere willen de spelregels bepalen.

Grote namen mogen gewoon genomineerd worden, alleen is er een dak van 5 nummers per band. Ik zou niet weten waarom bands als Iron Maiden, Dream Theater en Opeth niet genomineerd zouden mogen worden. Alleen wil ik voorkomen dat we alleen maar heel veel nummers van dezelfde bands genomineerd zien worden. En wederom, als dingen niet bevallen zijn er straks meerdere rondes om ze weg te stemmen.
We hebben nu trouwens 31 lijstjes en dus 310 nummers, het doel is 500.

Ik merk daar weinig van om eerlijk te zijn.

Heeft iemand er problemen mee dat we vanavond vanaf 20:00 eventuele derde lijsten gaan maken?

Voor mij is dat ok.

Ik wil MDV niet overvragen, maar zou het de moeite waard zijn om een lijst met genomineerde nummers te hebben voor we aan een derde ronde beginnen? Dat zoekt een beetje makkelijker naar al genoemde nummers.

Overigens is Heavy Metal volgens mij een genre waarvoor iedereen een andere definitie heeft en bands die persoon A metal zou noemen, zijn dat niet voor persoon B. We kunnen eindeloos blijven discussiëren zo lang dit topic loopt, maar wat mij betreft nomineert iedereen gewoon wat hij(/zij?) metal vindt...

Ik vond dit een duidelijke regel:

Nu ik mijn eigen bericht en dat van bennerd teruglees.. Heb ik niets gezegd en nemen we de regel van die Bennerd daarnet noemde inderdaad niet eens zo heel onduidelijk is als richtlijn. Ik lig echt weer te slapen vandaag . Ik ga maar eens aan de lijst beginnen.

Het zijn er maar 316 volgens de berekening, via random.org. Aslan had ook al alfabetisch gezet, dus mijn post verwijderd.

In dat geval heeft er iemand (en waarschijnlijk ben ik dat) een telfout gemaakt en hebben 1 of 2 users te weinig genomineerd. Wat mij betreft nomineert de volgende gebruiker gewoon 4 extra nummers en we zitten weer op een rond getal.

Ik heb nog wel een vraag. Eerder in dit topic hebben gebruikers een voorronde voorgesteld om het overschot aan nummers van Metallica, Iron Maiden en eventuele andere bands die over de grens van 5 gaan weg te werken. Hoe gaat zo'n volgorde eruit zien? Wat is de constructie?

Ligt aan het aantal nominaties, je zet alle nummers per band in een ladder en laat users punten geven, de beste 5 uit de ladder gaan verder.
Puntenverdeling mag jezelf bepalen.

Misschien is het beter om vanaf nu af te spreken dat we voor de band met 5 nummers of meer niet meer nomineren. Met terugwerkende kracht schrappen bij de bands die er over heen zijn, lijkt me wat onhandig.
