Even wat voer voor cijfer-fanatici; we staan ondertussen op 50 rondewinnaars, verdeeld als volgt per decennium :

De rondes worden er ook niet echt sterker op, al heb ik nog wel een paar mooie albums gereserveerd.

Helemaal gelijk Dieter, probleem is ook dat in het begin de "klassiekers " genoemd worden en dus daardoor kans hebben om eruit te vliegen.

De grote namen zijn ook geweest terwijl er nu veel onbekendere albums instaan.

Ik heb een fout ontdekt. Oygene is niet het debuutalbum van Jean Michel Jarre.

Ik weet ook niet beter dan dat Oxygene het debuutalbum is ... ik heb nog nooit van Deserted Palace (dat dan het debuutalbum zou zijn) gehoord.

Oxygène of Oxygene (Nederlands: "zuurstof") is een album van Jean-Michel Jarre, zijn eerste reguliere studioalbum.

Voor 1976 had Jarre gehobbyd aan een aantal projecten, waaronder een onsuccesvol album (Deserted Palace uit 1972), reclamejingles en composities voor een ballet. Zijn inspiratie voor Oxygène kwam van een schilderij van de kunstenaar Michel Granger, dat aan hem werd gegeven door zijn toen toekomstige vrouw (nu ex-vrouw) Charlotte Rampling. Het schilderij toont een schedel, overlapt door de Aarde. Jarre kreeg toestemming van Granger om het schilderij voor de cover te gebruiken.

In ieder geval geeft zowel MuMe als Wikipedia Deserted Palace als debuutalbum aan. Deed waarschijnlijk vrijwel niks, wegens te experimenteel, en hij brak pas door met Oxygene, maar dat is dus niet z'n debuutalbum.

Deserted Palace is an album of experimental instrumental electroacoustic music composed and produced by Jean Michel Jarre, and released on Sam Fox Records in 1972. It is Jarre's very first album, released four years before his breakthrough album, Oxygène. It was an album of library music, intended for use in television programmes, adverts, films, and so forth. It has not been subsequently re-released, although it is widely available as a bootleg. On 30 May 2011, several tracks from this album were officially released on the Essentials & Rarities compilation album.

Tja, je kunt twee kanten op redeneren. Eventueel zou je het als een soort "verzamel-album (van reclame deuntjes, kamermuziek etc. o.i.d.)" kunnen zien of als regulier debuut-album.

En hij heeft voor Oxygene ook nog een score gemaakt voor de film Les Granges Brulées. Als je beide albums niet wil meerekenen, dan zou Oxygene z'n debuut zijn. Ik vind het moeilijk om erover te oordelen.

Dat je scores niet meetelt kan ik wel begrijpen. Even op jeanmicheljarre.com gekeken, daar staat bij bibliografie bijvoorbeeld : Jarre’s third album Magnetic Fields is released in 1981.
(in dit verband zou Oxygene de eerste zijn, Equinoxe de tweede).

Misschien wil Jean Michel Jarre liever niet meer herinnerd worden aan Deserted Palace

Deserted Palace was inderdaad zijn eerste plaat, maar die is dus niet GLOBAAL uitgebracht. Enkel in een aantal landen. Aangezien we dit spel met "internationale" albums spelen , en een score niet meetelt, lijkt het mij gepast om Oxygene gewoon als debuutalbum aan te merken.

Bovendien : zo'n mooie plaat mag in het rijtje rondewinnaars gewoon niet ontbreken .....
