Ladder 45 vind ik maar erg matig. Misschien zelfs de minste ladder tot nu toe.
Ladder 46 heeft 3 ijzersterke nummers die elkaar weinig ontzien. Onbegrijpelijk dat Bobby Womack stijf onderaan stond! . Amy & The Miracles zijn dan weer zwak. Deze acts hebben veel betere nummers.

Mag Curtis niet meer meedoen?

Net nadat er discussie is over de hoge ogen die de bekende nummers gooien, komt een ladder voorbij met Move On Up en Home Is Where The Hatred is. Tsja, daar moet je wel op stemmen. Al moet ik erbij zeggen dat Lee Moses en in iets mindere mate Ann Sexton ook uitstekende nummers in deze ladder hebben staan die eigenlijk ook minimaal 3 punten verdienen en hadden gekregen in een wat zwakkere ladder. Cymande doet mij wederom helemaal niks.
Ladder 48 is misschien een wat beter voorbeeld waarbij zowel een meer recent als relatief minder bekende naam de volle mep van mij krijgt. Ik vind Charles Bradley verre van een fijn album hebben afgeleverd, maar 1 nummer kan ik uitstekend waarderen. Muzikaal is het zeer goed. Vocaal ook wel okay, maar ik blijf hem overdreven vinden zingen. Overigens vind ik deze ladder best matig. Als er 1 of 2 nieuwere of minder bekende acts tussen hadden gestaan, was de kans zeer groot op punten (ipv Randy of Sam).

Klassiekers blijven klassiekers he Dat dan weer wel.

Maar dat Darrow Fletcher (wie?) dan tweede wordt, vóór Curtis en op amper een puntje van een gigaklassieker als Man's World, wordt dan voor het gemak even verzwegen, of wat? Zo is het makkelijk een visie naar keuze te creëren natuurlijk...
