) Emmylou heeft een prachtig nummer, maar in een veel te sterke ladder zal ze ook maar enkele punten van mij krijgen

) Vooralsnog lijkt het zo te zijn dat de mainstream nu toch een stapje terug aan het doen is, dit in tegenstelling tot zeker de afgelopen twee jaar.
Of het zo blijft valt natuurlijk nog te bezien, maar de ladder uitslagen tot dusverre verbazen me zeker.

Kwestie van mening. Ik vind die tekst van Praying for Time (Hand in hand with ignorance and legitimate excuses of And charity is a coat you wear twice a year) een stuk beter dan die van Lieve Kleine Piranha (En de kraakvis die jij kraakt, Die leeft diep in de zee, als een slecht hiphopnummer of Hij ziet zijn leven, de eeuwen gaan voorbij. Waar baseer je dat op? Dit nummer is wellicht wel kitscherig te noemen, maar veel van zijn nummers hebben weinig te maken met kitsch. Met name Older en Listen Without Prejudice, Vol. 1 zijn prima albums die hier op de site ook goede gemiddeldes scoren.De instrumentatie is meestal ook dik ok en tenminste niet zo kitscherig fout als bij GM.

Wie weet, ook al zijn er altijd mensen die over een maandje er al mee stoppen.
Vorige editie ook al een paar keer meegemaakt volgens mij.
Met Giles Corey die verassend 1e of 2e werd en de volgende ronde gewoon afviel.

Teksten is meervoud en "instrumentatie is meestal dik ok" is ook niet bepaald op één nummer gericht. "Meestal" impliceert ook dat je het over meerdere nummers hebt.Zijn teksten zijn fantastisch en ivm GM zelfs gewoon grandioos. De instrumentatie is meestal ook dik ok en tenminste niet zo kitscherig fout als bij GM.

Dan is dit nummer van George Michael toch wel foute kitsch imo. Het probleem met George Michael is dat hij in dit nummer te gemaakt en ongeloofwaardig overkomt en zijn tekst niet lijkt uit te stralen en dat heb je bij Gorky niet. Met simpele woorden laat hij je toch nadenken over zowat alles, een doeltreffende songtekst dus wat mij betreft. Dat jij er niet meer als Kinderen Voor Kinderen in ziet, dat is jouw probleem dan maar.
