Na de knock-out: 2009 wil ik weer doorgaan met de jaren zeventig. We waren geëindigd bij 1972. Ik hoop wel dat de belangstelling voor de knock-out: 1971 wel een stuk groter wordt dan voor de KO 2009. Die laatste was nogal teleurstellend.

Dat is op zich ook informatief, want in plaats van mijn handen in onmacht ten hemel te heffen of zomaar als een halve wilde iets willekeurigs weg te strepen, kan ik nu zien dat de twee minst bestemde platen uit de lijst zijn:

Wat mij betreft was 64 wel genoeg, maar pas me aan . Ik hoop dat we 32 goeie albums over houden, dat zou al knap zijn. Mooi Wibro.

Ik wacht verdere reacties af. Morgen om pakweg 9 uur wil ik met de loting beginnen. 1971 is trouwens best wel een sterk jaar, dus ik houd het bij 128.

64 battles is goed zo natuurlijk (grofweg de helft is mijn smaak niet zo, vandaar de opmerking )

In de toplijst van het jaar 1971 komt dat album niet voor. Het staat ook onder verzamelalbum, maar ik wil hem best toevoegen, als de anderen het daar mee eens zijn.

Verzamelalbums doen toch nooit mee hier? Als die van Baby Huey mee mag doen heb ik ook nog wel wat suggesties:

Het is bij Baby Huey kennelijk het enige überhaupt beschikbare materiaal.

Ok, dat wist ik niet. Ik heb het niet gecheckt. Maar als het toch als verzamelalbum bekend is, hoeft het voor mij niet, want dan is het hek van de dam straks.

Maar als het onder reguliere albums zou staan, dan zou je er geen moeite mee hebben?

Nee, dan niet. Ach, Wibro, ik trek er geen mes om. Als men/jij vindt dat ie mee mag doen, dan vind ik het best.

Laat maar mensen. Ik had niet gezien dat dit onder verzamelalbums was geschaard.

Het is het enige album voor zover mij bekend van de beste man. Waarom dan verzamel? Mogelijk omdat er nooit echt een regulier album is verschenen dan? En dat ze na zijn dood (1970) een soort van bijeengeraapte verzameling hebben willen uitbrengen, want er staan een paar pareltjes op. Niet dat het hier ver zou komen, mocht hij al meedoen

Blijft natuurlijk de vraag waarom dit album "Howlin' Wolf - The London Howlin' Wolf Sessions (1971)" wel onder reguliere albums op MusicMeter staat? Zou dan ook onder verzamelaar of misschien beter "live" moeten staan.
btw Het album heb ik om die reden niet in de lijst van 128 gezet.
