Met name You Stole The Sun From My Heart vind ik echt verschrikkelijk. Voor mij het nummer waarop ik destijds afhaakte bij de Manics.

Klopt. De startlijst bevat juist de populairst songs, op basis van aantal stemmen en quotering van albums op MuMe, en aantal stemmen van de songs op die albums.

Voor de diversiteit was het inderdaad mooi geweest als er ook wat songs van de recentste albums meededen. Maar zoals ik al gezegd heb, kwamen die voor de startlijst niet in aanmerking wegens niet populair/bekend genoeg. Wat jammer is, want nummers als Tokyo Skyline en Misguided Missile behoren tot mijn favorieten.

Minder bekende persoonlijke favorieten kunnen jullie dan toevoegen in de nominatieronde. Maar daar werden uiteindelijk vooral oudere songs genoemd. Geen enkel nummer van de laatste vier albums kreeg genoeg stemmen.

Moest er een aantal (her)beluisteren. Heb geprobeerd voor de nieuwe nummers wat milder te zijn, want de competitie tussen een nummer dat je voor het eerst hoort en een nummer wat al jaren in het systeem zit (en wat er soms soepeler in ging dan soms), is natuurlijk niet geheel eerlijk, maar Autumnsong en en Jackie Collins etc. zijn toch echt gewogen en te licht bevonden.

Herbeluisteren en dan toch Everything Must Go nomineren Misschien toch nog wat vaker luisteren, of smaken verschillen zullen wel maar zeggen.

Ik heb niet gezegd dat ik alle nummers herbeluisterd heb

Maar goed, dat was, samen met You Love Us, dus de laatste die afviel...
