Tja, die staat erin onder het genre Electronic dus dan mag dat. Ik snap al die discussies niet zo goed, het is toch heel duidelijk welke albums wel en welke niet mogen

Daar houden we aan vast idd. en anders 'vecht' men dat maar aan bij een crewlid onder wie deze genres vallen. Zodra die iets goed/afkeurt houden we dat vast , anders is het einde zoek. Vind je gedurende de game dat een album minder 'passend' is gezien de nominatieregels, dan stem je er gewoon niet op.

Ik weet niet hoe je normaliter telt, maar het makkelijkste is om de lijst naar Excel (of een soortgelijk programma) te kopiëren, dan staan de nummertjes d'r gewoon bij. Scheelt een hoop wazigheid denk ik .

Daar heb je gelijk in, maar ik werk daar nooit mee. Ik doe wel wat met Word,maar had dat nog niet gedaan.

Ik weet direct weer waarom ik niet mee doe aan ladders...

Het is meer om met Electronic in de schijnwerpers om liefhebbers en ook anderen die er niet zo/minder bekend mee zijn in te betrekken en te interesseren, in de (eventuele) aantrekkingskracht van een game-vorm . Bovendien kun je zo wat (her)ontdekken qua stromingen hierin, mix daarvan e.d.

Jij kent uiteraard alles wel natuurlijk , weet wat het beste album (alsof dat al bestaat) is en waarschijnlijk bedoel je die van eigen makelij dan.... (overigens heb ik in de topictitel bewust niet gekozen voor beste Electronic album)

Je hoeft niet mee te doen, je mag er wel wat ingooien waarvan jij denkt dat het bijzonder (mooi) is of iets wat nog niet genoemd is qua muziek omtrent Electronic (/Avant-garde).

Ik moet vooral lachen om de ontzettende niemendalletje die worden genoemd en zoiets als Das Synthetische Misgewebe.
Er staan veel leuke dingen in, maar meer dan de helft (ook dingen die ik tof vind) zijn totaal irrelevante albums, die over 10 jaar de vergetelheid zijn in geglipt.

Is er iemand die hier beweert dat het om "relevante" albums moet gaan dan? Valt me een beetje van je tegen deze post...

Uitgerekd jij zou toch wel mogen beseffen dat het maken van een absolute lijst hier totaal niet aan de orde is maar het meer gaat om losse users die hun favorieten aandragen en anderen die daar wellicht hun voordeel mee doen. In plaats van je blind te staren op wat er wel een niet in staat had je ook gewoon de gelegenheid aan kunnen pakken om albums die jij de moeite waard vind (even irrelevant) in de schijnwerpers te kunnen zetten.

Ik kwam nog ff langs om te zeggen dat ik mij er van bewust ben dat ik soms een ontzettende azijnpisser ben..Daarvoor uiteraard mijn excuses.


(en The Scientist je hebt helemaal gelijk).

Wel even heel erg serieus.

Wat ik als een probleem zie als ik hier albums ga toevoegen dat ik eigenlijk verwachting heb dat het gros van de mensen gewoon niet het geduld neemt om een album tot zich te nemen.
Ik kan bijv. heel leuk Triologie de la Mort van Eliane Radigue toevoegen, maar ik zie gewoon vrijwel niemand hier het geduld op brengen om dat album in zijn geheel een keer of 5 te luisteren, wat dat album toch minimaal wel nodig heeft...(en dan ben je dus zo'n 15 uur verder). En dan zul je zeggen "dan doe je toch een ander album", maar dit is haar meest toegankelijke werk en wordt tevens gezien als haar meesterwerk (al is het niet mijn persoonlijke favoriet van haar).

Sorry als ik de mensen wat onderschat hier, maar dat is ook gewoon wat ik met heel die Ladders heb. Bij een simpele pop/rock plaat kan ik me wel voorstellen als je snel hoort of het wat voor je is, maar bij zoiets als experimentele electronische muziek kan het gewoon veel meer tijd nodig hebben. Vooral als je niet zo in die wereld thuis bent. Als goede voorbeelden zou ik hier dan bijv. Rashad Becker zijn album Traditional Music of Notional Species Vol. I willen noemen.
Of bijv. Hecker - Sun Pandämonium. (In deze categorie zit ook Das Synthetische Misgewebe, daar moet je echt heel goed voor gaan zitten).
Dat is een wereld van verschil met bijv. Ochre, Lapsed, Future Sound Of London, Deaf Center en Yasume wat allemaal lekker makkelijk weg luistert.

En dat klinkt misschien arrogant en verheven, maar zo bedoel ik het dus niet. Het is gewoon een harde realiteit waar je tegen aan loopt.

Als je nu wél meedoet vanaf september, heb je in ieder geval nog wat in de melk te brokkelen en kun je mede zorgen dat de betere helft over blijft (2 van de 4 v/e ladder gaan door, dus 64 albums). Mocht er voor jou nog goede albums in zitten, dan kun je altijd nog instappen bij de laatste 32/16 o.i.d.

Overigens is het geen must natuurlijk, geen zin is geen zin in deze opzet; 't is wat The Scientist zegt en je moet er niet meer van(willen) maken dan'zo'n ladder-topic is/werkt. Je kunt ook een forumtopic houden over wat nu bijv. in jouw ogen de 10/20 meest essentiële/interessante Electronic albums aller tijden zijn of van na het jaar 2000 om maar wat te noemen (misschien is zo ook wel eens iets gedaan, geen idee).

ik doe niet mee met alles luisteren, omdat ik niets luister dat ik niet in de kast heb staan (of het moet op bandcamp/soundcloud staan). Daarvoor zitten er nu eenmaal niet genoeg uren in een dag.

Ook al ken ik van de huidige 100 albums er 76 al.

Iets nieuws luister je dus niet, want dat staat niet in de kast . We houden erover op, het moet wel leuk blijven en geen gezanik worden. Succes met je diepe speutocht naar 'nieuwe' Electronic.

Voor de rest die de afgelopen 2 dagen nog niet gestemd heeft: het kan nog tot 20.00 uur deze nominatieronde, daarna volgt er nog één.

Volgende en waarschijnlijk laatste nominatieronde: noem nog 3 albums met het genre Electronic óf Electronic met Avant-garde als 2e genre en voeg ze alfabetisch toe aan de lijst + optelling van 3 met het totaal aantal onderaan. De deadline is zondagavond 8 uur. (een eventueel laatste album voeg ik zelf toe als enige nominatie dan)

Verder luister ik geregeld de podcast van Vital Weekly na het lezen van deze en check ik websites van labels en artiesten als er geen soundcloud en/of bandcamp is.

Je moest eens weten hoeveel je op die manier kunt ontdekken, en afgaande op mijn koopgedrag gaat me dat behoorlijk goed af

Als mensen dan ook de tijd gaan nemen om ze echt daadwerkelijk heel goed te beluisteren...
Ik wens iedereen in ieder geval sterkte met die plaat van Hecker, dat is echt geen simpele zit de eerste paar keer. Echt geen album die je ff tussendoor draait, en voor mensen met honden (en gevoelige katten) echt een afrader.
