Ik schrik wel van de hoeveelheid rode nummers die dit jaar de finale al bereikt hebben. Er staat nog geen enkel hardcore Jazz nummer in. En in de herkansing staan alleen Duke Ellington en Dizzy Gilespie. Vond ik vorig jaar de finaleladder te blauw, dan ben ik bang dat ik de finale dit jaar veel te rood ga vinden. En ondanks een fervent aanhanger van het rode kamp vind ik dat geen goede zaak.
Dus hopelijk redden Duke en Dizzy het in de herkansing (wat zeg ik nou toch )
(wel samen met Del Shannon natuurlijk, want een finale zonder Runaway kan echt niet )

Pas 4 ex-finalisten (of 5, want Etta James was finalist in 2013)
En maar liefst 7 nummers uit de jaren '60

Het meest opmerkelijke vind ik de 221 plaatsen winst van The Sportsmen (van 340 naar 119)

Als ik het hele spul zo bij elkaar zie staan word ik ook nog niet heel enthousiast. Grootste gemis vind ik toch wel So What en Visa Från Utanmyra. Ook My Baby Just Cares for Me is een jammerlijke afvaller maar daar hebben we wel een mooie Nina voor terug.

Sowieso zijn de jaren '60 wel erg sterk vertegenwoordigd. Uitermate begrijpelijk maar het 'prehistorische' element van dit spelletje lijkt wel langzaam richting de achtergrond te verdwijnen.
