Nick Drake en lichtgewicht in 1 adem noemen. Je zou natuurlijk ook kunnen zeggen dat je helemaal niks met folk hebt.

Dat zou ik kunnen zeggen, maar dat zou de werkelijkheid wel geweld aandoen

Als je ook al nooit punten kwijt kunt aan Sufjan Stevens en Bon Iver, dan heb je gewoon weinig met het genre lijkt het. Of zie ik wat over het hoofd?

Blijkbaar is zijn smaak in folk anders dan die van jou. Sufjan en Drake zijn echt niet representatief voor het hele genre.

Klopt, maar samen met Bon Iver wel de populairste folkartiesten hier op MusicMeter en de enigen die ruimschoots zijn vertegenwoordigd in de MML. Dan kun je wel laatdunkend doen over Nick Drake, maar je kunt ook gewoon toegeven dat het je ding niet is.

Dat Nick Drake niet je ding is dus. Jij stelt meteen dat ie niks met folk zou hebben.

Met Sufjan Stevens benoem je qua op MuMe populaire en op dit moment actieve artiesten wel ongeveer het toppunt van weerzinwekkendheid inderdaad.

Omdat het op MuMe moeilijk gericht zoeken is in andermans stemmen, ga ik maar even voor. En dan laat ik de genredefinitie maar even voor wat hij is, maar als je door mijn stemmen grasduint, kom je bij de groten van weleer mooie cijfers tegen bij bijvoorbeeld Fairport Convention, The Incredible String Band, Steeleye Span en Ralph McTell. Anno nu: Animal Collective, Grizzly Bear en het door jou zo bewierookte First Aid Kit. Dus geen zorgen over mijn liefde voor folk.

Moraal van dit verhaal, nooit meer onaardig doen over Nick Drake Casartelli !

Het is trouwens wel heel verrassend dat je mooie cijfers aan Fairport Convention geeft, maar Nick Drake niks vindt. Kijk eens voor de grap wie er allemaal meespelen op z'n platen.

Maar goed, je kan misschien zijn stem niet mooi vinden of zoiets, maar hij past perfect in jouw rijtje favoriete folkartiesten.
