Als we het dan toch over vermeende geniën gaan hebben op internet die iets van muziek denken te weten.. de site van Mark Prindle heb ik wel eens gezien en die bevalt me wel. Zijn oordelen over sommige bands/ albums zijn vaak erg in de roos! Soms ook totaal niet natuurlijk..

Dat is een leuke site idd, ik heb er een hoop van gelezen.
Mark is vaak helemaal niet aardig

Vaak een botte hufter zelfs! Maar wel vermakelijk
Vooral zijn Tool-recensies en Smashing flutkins kan ik erg van genieten

Prindle=held. Ik heb nog nooit een album beluisterd afgaande op zijn oordeel, maar de reviews zijn stuk voor stuk briljant. Ook de reader comments zijn erg grappig. Zal nog eens even kijken wat mijn favoriete review is.

Dit is toch wel een favoriet van mij. De eerste paragraaf van de review van 'Before And After Science' van Brian Eno:
So I was on Jay Leno the other night promoting my hilarious new parody of Loverboy's "Workin' For The Weekend" (entitled "Everybody's Jerkin' Off The Milkman") when suddenly I realized, "Wait a minute. What am I doing here? I'm straight!" As I climbed off of him and slipped my gooey brown phallus back between my tight leather legs, I suddenly realized why I'm not as fond of Before And After Science as I am of Eno's first three non-ambient albums. It's a bit hard to explain in your human language, but I'll do my best with the limited vocabulary you have provided: Side one isn't very good.

So I don't know. The more I listen to Tool - and this album in particular - the more they seem less like an 'intelligent' band and more like a band that seems 'intelligent' to people of average intelligence.

die man heeft wel humor, en dat vind ik leuk als ik een albumrecensie aan het lezen ben.

I've long since returned to the Earth as a scary ghost in a white sheet that goes "Woooooo!" and plays scary songs on a grand piano in a big dark mansion with cobwebs and a knight's armor that always smashes a battle axe down right behind any mortals foolish enough to enter my fiendish abode. A ha ha ha ha ha ha! AH HA HA HA HA HA!!!!! Now let's get back to that Radiohead review.

I still haven't heard The Hives, by the way. And I don't know if I want to. I'd sure hate to open up the CD case and have a bunch of BEES fly out at me!
