Vind AZ beter op Illmatic, eerlijk gezegd (ken weinig van AZ, maar daar klinkt net iets gedrevener)

Zijn verse op Firm Biz blijf ik ook legendarisch vinden! Wat een opening!
Maar ik vind dat hij te weinig interessants heeft uitgebracht om echt te kunnen zeggen dat hij beter is geworden.

Dit is mij opgevallen bij Lloyd banks.. Sinds hij uit G-Unit is en vooral zelfstandig te werk gaat, zijn zijn nieuwe mixtapes zeker beter dan zijn vorige mixtapes/albums. sirieuzer, sterker etc

Hoewel ik hem het liefst alleen als gast artiest zag, is dat nu niet meer zo.

Uit G-Unit?

50 heeft buck eruit gezet, en heeft al zeer lange tijd geen contact meer gehad met banks.

Lloyd Banks will be dropping a new mixtape titled All Or Nothing, Vol 1: Failure's No Option and hosted by DJ Drama soon. The tracks thumping drums and shimmery keys are hooked up by Hero Beats.

Lloyd Banks' last album, The Hunger For More 2, dropped back in 2010. For those hoping there will be a G-Unit reunion, don't hold your breath. Earlier this year, 50 Cent said there will not be a reunion and that he doesn't "give a f**k what they talking about on a blog post."

Ik dacht dat Yayo, Banks en 50 nog gewoon goed met elkaar om gingen. Die reünie ging naar mijn weten vooral om het terughalen van Buck en zelfs Game.

Nou ja, een tijdje geleden toen Game die petitie gestart was, zei 50 wel iets te voelen voor een G-Unit reünie, maar dan alleen met Yayo en Banks. Daaruit maakte ik dus op dat G-Unit wel klaar was. Buck dropt de laatste tijd overigens best wat mooie nummers als ''Rubberband Banks'', vond hem op het moment dat hij begon niet zo goed in dat soort rap (emotioneel ofso, ik weet het niet precies). Maar daarin zie ik persoonlijk die progressie wel vanaf SOC

Dat klopt, als er ooit weer een reünie komt, dan zou dit absoluut zonder buck (geld issue) en the game zijn (beef). Het is leuk om te zien hoe de 'oude' G-Unit rappers het zonder 50 doen.
Dit zei 50 over de g-unit leden:

“I see [Tony] Yayo all the time. He actually comes through — he’ll pop up. We’ll do that, but away from it when we come home I be busy working on something and they supposed to be doing the music, writing the music,” 50 told Ang. “Now it’s like I think I’ve enabled them. I’ve damaged that by being so close to it that they just go. Their way of dealing with things is not dealing with it so you can have people that work for you who you work for because they’re just waiting for you to do it. Or you don’t say anything and there’s no urgency — I don’t talk to them. We’re still friends, it’s just the relationship is different.
