Terwijl ik op mijn ziekbed lag, dacht ik : laat ons deze collectie, een huzarenstukje met maar liefst 304 tracks, maar eens toevoegen op MM.

Deze box bevat alle albums van John Denver van 1969 tot 1986 (van 'Rhymes & Reasons' tot 'one World'), dus bijna zijn volledige oeuvre. Hieraan zijn de 3 best of's en de live-dubbelaar 'an evening with John Denver' + een veertiental bonustracks aan toegevoegd, alsook de bonusdisc 'John Denver Sings'. Vooral deze laatste is vrij uniek, aangezien deze enkel covers bevat uit zijn beginjaren en in 1966 enkel in een zeldzame privé-uitgifte verscheen.

Al bij al, een unieke verzameling van een meester singer-songwriter!

Ik heb Windsong en een verzamelaar. Dat gaat nog, bij tijd en wijle.
Maar ik geloof niet dat ik dit zou trekken, 304 nummers braafheid....

John Denver. Lastig. Ik vond hem in het midden van de 70er jaren eigenlijk best goed. Zwijmel C&W. Een genre wat goed verkocht die tijd.
Wel erg braaf inderdaad. Maar de man was gezegend met een fraai stemgeluid.

Ik heb een greatest hits met zijn 70's werk en dat is wel genoeg. 304 nummers is mij teveel van het goede.
Interessant voor de echte fan.

Dit is mij ook teveel van het goede maar John Denver kan wel voor mij vanwege zijn prachtige stem al vind ik zijn oeuvre doorgaans ook te braaf. Met een 2CD met zijn beste songs heb ik genoeg.
