Over bandnamen gesproken, de band Billy the Vision & the Dancers is ontstaan uit de naam zelf. Bij de naam hebben ze gewoon een band gezocht.

" -I’ve got a damn good band name, Billie the Vision, Candy said.
- Can I buy it from you? Lars said.
- Sure you can, he answered.

A great band name but no band. One month later everybody on Lars wishing list had said yes to the offer of being a part in creating the best band in the world. It was no harder then that. (yes it was...)

Billie the vision may at the first impression look like one more pop band without worrying, that appeal more than one generation. But if you go just a little bit deeper you find that it’s not always joy, happiness and dancing they want to express.

Billie is not a person, more like a quality that the band want to encourage other people to find inside of themselves. It’s about not being afraid of being naive, pretentious or corny, to be proud of what you are and have the guts to say "Meet us there at the Nobel Square if you wanna change the world with us". "


Maar ik zie net dat hun albums nog niet eens op musicmeter staan...

Ik vond het al een beetje vreemd.

De eerste keer dat ik merkte dat er twee Avishai Cohen´s bestonden voelde ik mij behoorlijk genept. Ze doen nog allebei jazz ook.

Andere favoriet van mij, Orion (Belgie/folk) heeft een Deense (dance) en een Amerikaanse (hiphop) naamgenoot. Alle drie recentelijk met nog nieuwe CD´s.
