John McKay heeft sinds zijn vertrek uit the Banshees (1979) geen gitaar meer aangeraakt tot 1985. Toen richtte hij met zijn vriendin en zangeres van deze band, Zor Gabor op. Het klinkt inderdaad meer uit de periode 1979/80. Leuke anekdote is nog dat John met zijn vriendin op weg naar hun trouwlocatie overnachtten in een afgelegen hotel en de enige andere gasten, Siouxsie en Budgie waren....

Jammer van zijn talent...

Zeker, samen met John McGeoch toch de grondlegger van het typische postpunk gitaargeluid

Deze kan zo wedijveren met de topsongs uit de gouden Britpop periode, die van Oasis bv. Wat een heerlijke song met een zalig outro

En PSB is natuurlijk geen Manc-artiest, dus logisch dat ze niet genoemd worden

Dus in die zin niet echt obscuur
Obscuriteit ligt dus echt in the eye of the beholder

Eigenlijk dus gewoon mainstream zooi
