Daarom is het altijd beter om de lijst vanuit niets te maken. Zo komt Little Girl Blue inmiddels uit 1959 ipv 1957.

Het is grappig hoe je er vaak heel snel achter komt wie de lijst van een eerdere editie pakt en daarop voortbouwt. Zo schrijft menigeen nog altijd Illinois ipv Illinoise. En zo is Bryter Layter inmiddels al jarenlang aangemerkt als zijnde uit 1971, maar doet menigeen nog alsof die uit 1970 komt (zoals die jaren geleden aangemerkt was). Om nog maar te zwijgen van het lidwoordencircus bij (The) Rolling Stones.

The more the merrier... ik kwam onderstaande gebruikers tegen bij een van de populaire 50s-albums. Misschien zit er nog iemand dus die nog graag meedoet. Een lijst inleveren (min. top 10, max. top 30) kan nog t/m vrijdag.

Ik vind het altijd wel leuk mijn lijst vanaf 'scratch' te maken en daarna te kijken hoeveel 'ie verschilt met de lijst van 2 jaar eerder. In de decennia-topics is dat ook nog wel te overzien. Het wordt moeilijker als we volgend jaar weer een album top 500 aller tijden mogen opleveren.

Mijn lijst over 68 albums, waarbij ik Elvis' Sun Sessions (opnames uit de jaren '50) gemakshalve meetel. Toch alweer 15 meer dan 2 jaar terug, beetje bij beetje dijt ook hier de kennis uit. Lolita Cuevas was de grootste 50's ontdekking van de laatste maanden.

Stel je voor dat twee gelijknamige albums van dezelfde artiest op jaartal worden gecorrigeerd, zo dat het niet meer duidelijk is welk album wordt bedoeld. Gezien het enorme aantal albums dat ik de laatste tijd ben tegengekomen met een verkeerd jaartal - bijvoorbeeld Blue Train, al is dat een discutabele - is dat niet eens zo onwaarschijnlijk.
