week 31 van 2025 waarin ik eigenlijk wel 20 binnenkomers had gewild en maar 5 er uit. Dat past niet tenzij ik een top 55 ga maken Dat was niet de bedoeling. Maar zoveel goede muziek die het nu niet eens haalt, zoals een Last Dinner Party die al weken op de nominatie staat maar steeds voorbij gestreefd wordt. Zo ook Black Honey maar die heeft het nu toch nog gehaald.
Ondertussen zijn er altijd singles of artiesten die zich daar niks van aantrekken en gewoon overal doorheen vliegen zoals de stijgers Lexie Carroll, Grocery Bag en Grxce en natuurlijk de binnen-op-1 van vorige week The Cords. Zes binnenkomers deze week die het ook gehaald hebben.
Chloe Parcé en Nadia Sheikh zijn geen onbekenden in m'n lijst, dat geldt inmiddels ook voor Wednesday die met een lekker schurend plaatje komen dat steeds iets meer ontspoort.
De al genoemde Black Honey uit Brighton is helemaal nieuw, in mijn lijst dan, 2 singles van 2020 en 2021 blijken wel 'groene bolletjes' te hebben dus ik kende ze wel al langer. Nu dan ook eindelijk in m'n lijst.
Dan nog They Are Gutting a Body of Water, een male-fronted band die ik op BKS zag, nogal wisselvallig met veel noise en dan wat pauzemuziekjes van tape tussendoor. De single is gelukkig alleen noise.
Zou ik bijna Total Wife vergeten, dat is toch ook een lekker stukje noise met dwarse gitaren en weinig hoorbare zang.

- Suede levert alweer een fijne single af. Ik had ze eigenlijk wel afgeschreven als interessante band voor mezelf, maar op de een of andere manier haak ik nu toch weer aan.
- Voor Sue the Night moet ik ook flink de archieven in: 2 keer haalde ze bij mij de top 20: in 2015 met The Whale en in 2017 met Mind Dear. Ook The Wanderer kwam nog vaak langs in 2018, maar sindsdien is dit de eerste single die me weer positief opvalt.
- Amadou & Mariam met een soort van afscheidssingle, vermoed ik, nu Amadou Bagayoko is overleden. Of zouden ze er nog meer uit de archieven trekken? Als die allemaal deze kwaliteit hebben hoor je mij niet klagen...
- Big Thief heeft een ietwat nieuwe sound; iets elektronischer. Moet er nog wat aan wennen wellicht, maar op het eerste gehoor ben ik er niet echt enthousiast over. Top 40 kan er wel vanaf, maar deze band heeft veel beter gedaan in het verleden.
- Fishbach luisterde ik heel veel in de zomer van 2017, toen ik ook in haar thuisland Frankrijk op vakantie was. Helaas heeft Flora nooit meer zo'n goede plaat als Un Autre Que Moi gemaakt, uberhaupt is ze muzikaal niet heel actief geweest met 2 albums in 8 jaar. Deze met de Franse acteur Jean Reno is wel weer leuk.

Jammer, hij is net jarig geweest, anders had ik een mooi bruggetje gehad. Dan maar zo: de net 77-jarige acteur Jean Reno zorgt voor de 76e en laatste aanvulling van nieuwe tracks in de weeklijsten van afgelopen week: Tips weeklijsten MuMeAfrekening week 32

Goed opgemerkt!
Ik check natuurlijk niet elke binnenkomer in die weeklijstjes, probeer een beetje uit m'n hoofd na te aan of ik titel en artiest al ken. Dat leidt af en toe onbedoeld tot doublures, en blijkbaar ook tot omissies.
Burial had ik (uiteraard) al in m'n eigen tiplijstje gezet, vandaar dat ie mij hier iets te bekend voorkwam.
Inmiddels alsnog toegevoegd.
