Ik zie anders een hoop niet new wave of synth-pop er tussen staan. In dat kader kan ik dan nog wel wat 80's bands er aan toevoegen.

Van Halen of Yes lijkt me niet echt new wave of synth-pop nee

Maar de noemer is nogal breed vind ik, zelfs als je alléén de jaren 80 neemt.. zoals al bleek uit het geflopte new wave KO tournament

Ik zal eens naar een site met een juiste opsomming zoeken, want heb geen zin ze allemaal weer lijfelijk in te typen..

Inderdaad. The Alan Parsons Project is zeker ook geen new wave of synth-pop maar valt onder de categorie art rock. Marillion en Yes zijn ProgRock. Madness is ska, en ga zo maar door. Beter eerst huiswerk opnieuw doen naar wat new wave en synth pop is. Of wordt gewoon muziek uit de jaren '80 bedoeld?

Iron Maiden (jaren 80 en vanaf Somewhere in Time ook nog synth's, wat wil je nog meer).

The Assembly was een samenwerking van Vince Clarke en Eric Radcliffe en ja, dat is inderdaad dezelfde als Upstairs at Eric's' , waar Yazoo het debuutalbum opnam. Feargal Sharkey werd ingehuurd voor de zang, want na eenmaal ('Happy peiple' op het tweede Yazoo album) was het geenmaal, ofwel zingen geen optie meer voor Vince, ook al klinken zijn vocalen zeker niet slecht:
