Vraagje: Wanneer beginnen de jaren 0? Op 1 januari 2000 of op 1 januari 2001?

Voor mij op 2000. 1990 hoort immers ook niet bij de 80-er jaren.

Het derde millennium begon op 1 januari 2001, maar volgens mij gaat het in dit topic ook wel om het jaar 2000 (Voor mij maakt het overigens niet veel uit, want ik vond 2000 toch geen muzikaal topjaar. Slechts één album dat meer dan 4* gekregen heeft (4,5 voor Sophtware Slump)).

Gelukkig houd ik al sinds jaar en dag wekelijks een lijstje bij, zodat de volgorde uiteindelijk een kwestie is van plussen en minnen. Ook wordt alles sinds ik een pc in huis heb netjes bijgehouden. Het resultaat is dan ook min of meer valide. Al blijft het natuurlijk de vraag of smaak kwantificeerbaar is.

* 2000 en 2002, met ieder drie albums (60% !) zijn wat mij betreft de belangrijkste popjaren van dit nieuwe millenium.
* De top 6 is inmiddels meer dan vijf jaar oud. Mijn hoop is dan ook gevestigd op de komende twee (of drie!) jaar!
* 2001, 2004, 2005 en 2007 dragen ieder één album bij.
* 2003 (met o.m. The White Stripes - Elephant) en 2006 (met bijv. Arctic Monkeys - Whatever People Say I Am) staan niet vermeld.

Wanneer we de jaren 00 gewoon op 1 januari 2001 laten beginnen, krijgen we drie open plaatsen voor de nummers 11 t/m 13:
