Ik vind het intro van Jesus for the Jugular van The Veils echt heel erg lekker, een beetje een bluesy begin op een album waar dat verder weinig te vinden is. Het is ook gewoon een perfecte opmaat naar de rest van het nummer en dat maakt een intro uiteraard goed.

- Golden Earring , Vanilla Queen. Spacy dubbeltoons geluid in tegenstrijdige richtingen.
- The Cure, Friday i'm in love. Alleen al die eerste tonen van gitaar maken me helemaal happy
- Mike Oldfield, Amarok. De gewisse onzekere verwachting pogende het geduld te claimen.
- Dead Can Dance, Rakim met het fraaie spel op de Dulcimer (?) door Lisa.
- Marillion, Brave. Melangoliek en dramatisch album waarvan de stomend doch gedegen intro
al gelijk de juiste sfeer zet.
- Pink Floyd, Sorrow (vooral live). Alleen al de intro een op zichzelfstaande trip.
- Dead Kennedy's, Riot. Een opbouwend dreigende spanning die die de belofte nakomt
