Dit was mijn eerste Kinks-plaat - met de live-versie van Lola die in NL een #1 hit werd. Ik heb 'm niet meer overigens. Tegenwoordig stel ik me tevreden met de dubbel-CD The Ultimate Collection.

Ik zag dat-ie uit 1981 was volgens MuMe? Dat zou misschien nog net kunnen (ik heb m zelf niet) omdat ik m ook toen pas voor het eerst tegenkwam, maar ik dacht dat-ie toen al veel ouder was.

Alles wat zij produceerden tussen 1964 en 1967 is voor mij het beste van het beste. Nostalgie met een platina randje.
Ik kocht dus ook een Greatest hits ergens in de jaren 80 en hoewel ik ook in het bezit ben van "The Kinks Are the Village Green Preservation Society" is the Greatest hits voor mij niet alleen de eerste maar de beste.
