Ik ben blij dat de deadline nog zo ver weg is. Dat geeft mij mooi de gelegenheid om nog wat nieuwe albums te ontdekken. Vooral uit de jaren '90 ken ik maar weinig muziek. Als er iemand tips heeft (ook uit andere decennia) zijn die van harte welkom.

Om albums goed te leren kennen heb ik meestal een hoop luisterbeurten nodig, dus het zal nog geen weloverwogen beoordelingen en nieuwe binnenkomers in mijn lijst opleveren. Ik zie het vooral als een mooie gelegenheid om mijn horizon wat te verbreden.

Van R.E.M. moet ik nodig eens wat gaan luisteren. Ik ben alleen bang dat Automatic for the People nogal saai is. Green, is dat wat?

Vinden veel mensen hier wel... ik vind hem - naar R.E.M.-maatstaven - niet zo spectaculair. Als ik iets uit de jaren '80 zou moeten aanbevelen, zou het Murmur of Lifes Rich Pageant zijn.

Idem hier : voor mij persoonlijk is vrijwel alles van de IRS-periode (dus tot en met Document) superieur aan vrijwel alles van de Warners-periode (dus vanaf Green).

Waarom zijn dit vreemde albums?

Ten en Innervisions staan al jaren op een 5 bij mij en Pulp zelfs al jaren in mijn reguliere top 10 (en dus uiteraard ook op een 5).

Nou, ik vind het ook ontzettend vreemde albums hoor

ja, ik vind ze eigenlijk niet kunnen. in een top zoveel. doe maar een ander lijstje.

Omdat de rest prog-gerelateerd is. Ik bedoel 'vreemd' in de zin van 'anders' , zeker Innervisions. Pulp wist ik min of meer van jou, die andere 2 had ik niet zo snel in je top 10 verwacht. met name die van Stevie Wonder; verrassend.
