Ik vind enige weging persoonlijk wel aardig maar totaal random is ook goed hoor. Het voordeel van een weging is dat je straks niet een ladder hebt met zes ladderwinnaars en een andere ladder met zes nummers vier.

Ik begrijp het en het is een idee voor de 3e ronde, maar nu heb ik er te weinig voor bij gehouden en als ik eerlijk ben heb ik ook niet al te veel zin om alles daarvoor weer na te lopen

En hoewel het eigenlijk van iedere nominatie van mij die afvalt heel gek is ben ik toch het meest verbaasd over de klassiekers van Carla Thomas, Arthur Alexander en Sam & Dave (hun beste!). Oscar Toney Jr. en Paul Thompson zag ik eigenlijk zonder moeite doorgaan. Wellicht een slechte loting ofzo. Het meest ontstemd ben ik over Pyramids. Hoewel het een twijfelgeval is qua soulladder ja of nee vind ik dat dit nummer te allen tijde heel ver moet komen omdat het een van de beste nummers van de laatste tien jaar is. Het afvallen van (No One Knows Me) Like The Piano vind ik ook zoiets absurds. Een modern geluid met wat electro erbij, het blijft toch wel spannend...

Voor de volgende ronde (en dat geldt vermoedelijk nog meer voor de ronde erna) hoop ik echt heel erg dat niet steeds de geijkte namen doorgaan. Hoe meer soul ik leer kennen hoe vaker ik hoor dat er een schat aan nummers is die gemakkelijk het niveau van Marvin, Otis, Stevie, Sam, Bill, Curtis, Aretha etc. evenaren of zelfs overstijgen.

Het verbaasd me dat Reijersen zo lovend is over dit nummer van George Jackson. Niet dat het een slecht nummer is, dat zeker niet, maar hij heeft ze nog veel mooier gemaakt waaronder nog eentje die ook nog mee doet. De doorleefde ballade van Otis steelt hier de show kort gevolgd door de swingende track van King Floyd. Eddie heeft hier de hit, maar deze Floyd heb ik altijd minder overtuigend gevonden.

Die andere is ook finalemateriaal.

Ik begrijp heel goed wat je bedoelt, maar ik vind wel dat het niet een doel op zich moet worden.

Zeker niet. Maar mijn gevoel zegt dat stemmen eerder naar de bekende nummers van de grote namen gaan. Die nummers zijn vaak door en door bekend en hebben daarmee automatisch een streepje voor op ronde 1 nummers die 'men' pas een keer beluisterd heeft. Maar, wellicht onderschat ik een ieder en is mijn vrees ongegrond. Maar ik zou het gewoon jammer vinden als de laatste pak hem beet honderd liedjes van dezelfde tien - vijftien artiesten komen.

Iets anders Reijersen, mijn gevoel zegt dat deze puntentelling een wat scheef beeld laat zien. Zoals de verdeling nu is geef je bijna 50% van je punten aan één nummer. De andere vier nummers in de ladder moeten het dan doen met de andere 50%.

Zo had ik er nog niet aan gedacht. Mijn insteek was vooral dat een ieder zijn/haar favoriet een goede opsteker kan geven. Anders moeten we inderdaad opnieuw beginnen met de door jou geopperde puntendeling.

Of van die ene ladder die gespeeld is de punten even omrekenen?

Wat zou een goede verdeling zijn. Mijn gevoel zegt 5-3-2 maar dan moet je wel twee nummers puntloos laten. Anderzijds, dan geef je ook 50% van je punten aan één nummer. Wat dat agaat is 4-3-2-1 beter, dan is het 40% - 30% - 20% - 10% - 0%.

6-4-3-2?

40 - 27 - 20 - 13 qua percentages. lijkt me best reëel ja. De afstand is minder groot maar je kunt toch je favoriet een mooie boost geven.
