Twee erg sterke ladders met uitstekende soul uit het zuiden. Taxi is één van mijn ontdekkingen deze editie. John Colbert was in de jaren '70 één van de leden van The Soul Children die o.a. het geweldige I'll Be The Other Woman en Yesterday uitbrachten. In de jaren '80 begon hij opnieuw te werken met Homer Banks en uit deze samenwerking kwam Taxi voort. Een nummer dat zich enorm in je hoofd nestelt om er de hele dag niet meer uit te gaan.

Didn't I eruit voor weer een niet meer dan degelijk Stevie Wonder nummer, en dan ook Rainbow Road eruit voor een "geinig" nummertje van Labi. Pffft, wat een onbegrijpelijke keuzes worden er hier soms gemaakt.

Ladder 56: Aretha (ook al ben ik zeker een liefhebber) komt hier duidelijk met het minste nummer. En zoals Mb. al aangaf zijn Inspiration Information en Hard Times beiden ijzersterk.
