Nummer 1 van musicfriek, aERodynamIC, Bonk, pureshores, EttaJamesBrown en arcade monkeys




Whatever is het hoogste geëindigde nummer dat niet in de startlijst stond, simpelweg omdat het niet op de reguliere albums stond. Het fungeerde als brug tussen Definitely Maybe en (What's the Story) Morning Glory en werd uitgebracht als kerstsingle. Stond helaas niet op de verzamelcd die ik bezat en is bij mij dus pas later uitgegroeid tot een pareltje waarvoor ik MuMe zeer dankbaar ben. Het applaus op het einde van het nummer is dan ook voor jullie.

2. Live Forever 164 (25)
Nummer 1 van johan de witt, ranja, motel matches en ondergetekende.




Dat het spannend was in deze Greatest Hits mag een understatement heten. Don't Look Back in Anger startte goed, maar Live Forever wist gaandeweg de koppositie over te nemen tot het enkele lijstjes voor het einde finaal toch voorbijgestoken werd en tweede plaats een feit werd. Misschien wel één van de oudste nummers want al in 1991 - geïnspireerd door Shine a Light van de Rolling Stones - gemaakt, maar wel pas in 1993 gefinaliseerd tot wat het nummer echt zou worden.

Nummer 1 van likeahurricane, Superbitch, Shaky, Rudi S, Jizze en herman




Precies even vaak genoemd als Live Forever, maar meer op 1 gezet en in het algemeen dus ook beter gewaardeerd. Voor mij persoonlijk ook steeds een dubbeltje op zijn kant tussen beide nummers en waar nu Live Forever won, kan dat een volgende keer Don't Look Back in Anger weer zijn en klaarblijkelijk volgen jullie mij daar wel wat in. Algemeen merk ik wel dat Don't Look Back in Anger steeds meer de fakkel aan het overnemen is van Wonderwall als breedgedragen nummer 1 van Oasis, onder meer kijkende naar de Tijdloze op Stubru, maar ook de finalenotering in de MuMeladder enkele jaargangen terug. Alles bij elkaar blijft het een fantastisch nummer dat het enorm goed doet als dronken afsluiter op feestjes.

51 reeksen zijn er gespeeld en die gaan we deze week tegen elkaar laten spelen.

We beginnen zo met de songs die de tweede plaats behaalden. Die gaan in de herkansing.
Voor de meetellers ik laat The Model (winnaar Kraftwerk) en Das Modell (nummer 2 Duitstalig) als één song meedoen en dus gaat de Duitstalige nummer 3 ook nog een keer mee.
