Inderdaad, het is tijd voor:
DE FINALE VAN DE DIJK KO!
We begonnen met 64 nummers en er zijn nog twee over. Persoonlijk ben ik erg tevreden, want het zijn mijn twee favoriete nummers van De Dijk. Meestal is het ene nummer favoriet en op sommige dagen de andere. Twee albumtracks, waarbij ik de ene wel in de finale verwacht had, de andere wat minder. We zullen zien of we het inderdaad schriftelijk af kunnen doen (dit stemmen op een website is toch ook schriftelijk?
) of dat het toch nog spannend wordt. Hoe dan ook, de finale is geworden:

Wakker In Een Veemde Wereld had ik op voorhand niet verwacht. NIemand In De Stad natuurlijk wel.
Beiden prima nummers al is laatstgenoemde ook mijn favoriet. Persoonlijk vind ik het jammer dat de nummers van Zevende Hemel zo snel waren uitgeschakeld. Een prachtig album, hun beste naar mijn mening.

Omdat de grootste band uit Canada hier al eens gespeeld is, gaan we verder met wellicht de op-een-na-grootste. In mijn eigen muzikale universum dan toch...
Amber Webber, Stephen McBean, Joshua Wells, Matt Camirand en Jeremy Schmidt vormen tezamen sinds 2004 Black Mountain. De bewondering voor de hard- en psychedelische rockhelden uit de jaren '70 ligt er dik bovenop, al weten ze op hun beste momenten de brug naar de moderniteit ook te slaan.
