De vroege BSB singles, of eender welke eigenlijk, mochten hier inderdaad in de plaats van deze twee Take That nummers staan. Beetje jammer. Ahja, van mij krijgen deze alvast geen punten. Het ziet er wel naar uit dat er nog genoeg toffe Boyband-nummers overschieten.

Ik vind het ook jammer dat ze er helemaal uit liggen, terwijl het verschrikkelijke Boyzone nog met 3 nummers meedoet. Maar ja, de kiezer heeft altijd gelijk......

Er ontbreken naar mijn gevoel wat Boyband-klassiekers, maar er blijft nog steeds een toffe lijst over.

Wat een flut eindlijst, alle East 17 en Westlife eruit en daarnaast ook nog de goede Take Thats. Het sterft van de gladde Backstreet Boys en Boyzone ellende. T lijkt hier de hitkrant wel.

Het enige nummer dat ik echt nog graag hoor en een enorme guilty pleasure van me is, ligt er uit. (Father and Son). Ik ga mijn oude top 20 schriftjes maar eens opzoeken op zolder en de scores van daar mee laten wegen in mijn top 10

Zo te zien zijn er in de vorige ronde 7 misschien wel 8 nummers uit mijn potentiële Top 10 weggestemd En zo staat ineens Boyz II Men bovenaan. De andere van deze groep zet ik op de aller aller laatste plaats, echt verschrikkelijk en een jeugdtrauma waar ik tot afgelopen weekend bijna overeen was...

Na het wegstrepen van wat echt niet kon had ik helaas geen 10 liedjes meer... dus ik moest wat terughalen.

Op een paar nummers na staat er sowieso niks meer uit de eerste helft van de 90s in. Geen NKOTB, maar 1 Take That (terwijl dat in hun tijd toch veruit de grootste boyband was). wel opvallend.

Lastig om aan 10 te komen, eigenlijk vind ik alleen de bovenste 5 leuk om weer eens te horen, waarbij de top 3 dan nog een jeugdsentimentbonus krijgt. Een 2e NKOTB (Hangin' Tough of The Right Stuff) en een 2e en 3e Take That (Relight My Fire, Everything Changes en/of Could It Be Magic) hadden het niveau al aardig opgekrikt, los van de al vaak gememoreerde East 17 (Thunder, House of Love, It's Alright) en nog een paar anderen.

Picture of You van Boyzone heeft wel een aardige Motown-beat, vind dit nummer een verademing vergeleken met hun ballads en vooral het verschrikkelijke No Matter What (voor mij ruimschoots de grootste draak hier). Sowieso vind ik de uptempo nummers doorgaans wel leuker.

Verder wel grappig om te horen hoeveel hits in 1990 er waren met een Beatles of Stones-citaat hadden. Het mechanische trompetje in NKOTB's Tonight doet me altijd denken aan Penny Lane.
