Tijdens het nakijken van SE’s vandaag heb ik deze Ladder al een paar keer beluisterd (en nog steeds niet klaar met nakijken.. ). Bij Strictly Inc hoor je wel eens even goed de invloed van Banks op de albums And Then Were Three t/m We Can’t Dance. Groter dan menig Collins basher zal willen toegeven. Toch is The Pineapple Thief hier de grote verrassing voor mij. Hoe verder dat nummer, hoe beter, hoe ambitieuzer. Ook blijft Frost* mij verbazen met Saline. Wat een krachtige opbouw ! Hier had ik aan bijna alles wel punten willen geven behalve aan (hoe vreemd ook) Twelfth Night. Hebben de mannen van Marillion vaak bij hun concerten van voren gestaan ? “Dat kunnen wij veel beter” moeten ze toen gedacht hebben.
