Drie nummers van Rush om te mogen beluisteren en welke wint het dan (bij mij) en waarom ? Territories strijd hier met La Villa Strangiato in de Ladder. Luisterend naar alle drie de nummers verliest juist Territories het van de twee andere nummers. Wat ik weleens mis bij Rush (al eerder aangegeven) is de finesse, de verfrissing, de verfijning van een goede toetsenist. Rush mag graag, op z'n Canadees, goed hout hakken en dat is vooral in Territories het geval. En als ik dan La Villa Strangiato erachteraan opzet dan vermoord de inleidende akoestische gitaarsolo alleen al geheel Territories. En de toetsen die daarna La Villa Strangiato verder een sfeervolle ambiance brengt is echt gewoon mooi. Veel mooi gitaarwerk ook in dat nummer. Maar Rush mag graag houthakken met zeker wel één van de beste Lumbermen die er is. Geniaal nummer.

Maar het houthakken in Epping Forest, wat meer gericht is op het inhakken op elkaar dan op hout, is zo'n heerlijk gebracht verhaal met allerlei vreemde snuiters in bizarre verhaallijntjes.

Met een linkse hoek komt Bethnal Green Butcher,
Maar hij wordt rechts gepareerd door Mick's vechtende kettingbende,
En Liquid Len, met zijn kapotte flessenmannen,
gooit Bob the Nob over de rand.

En dan zullen we het over Louise en de Dominee maar verder niet hebben.

Hoezo Genesis en geen humor..
