Het kon niet goed blijven gaan. Helaas komt mijn nummer 1 nu langs. Desondanks opnieuw tevreden met de notering. Mazzy Star was mijn grote verrassing. Bij dit nummer viel eindelijk het kwartje, en het levert hiermee gelijk een zeer nette zesde plek in mijn rangschikking op. Daarnaast wil ik de Moordende Maan niet onbenoemd laten. Stijgt maar liefst twaalf plaatsen t.o.v. vorig jaar. Er zijn maar 2 nummers die met meer plaatsen gestegen zijn, 13 en 14 respectievelijk. De eerste verwacht ik dik in de top 10, de ander als potentiele eindwinnaar.

Schitterende stijging voor Mazzy, moet haast wel een van de allergrootste stunts zijn in de Laddergeschiedenis

Volgens mij was Such a Shame 2 jaar geleden een nog grotere verrassing in de finale.

Living In Another World volgens mij ook, of niet?

Zwakste finale tot nu toe voor mij denk ik, is ook wel te zien aan het gegeven dat sommige meervoudige finalisten dit jaar hun hoogste notering scoren bij mij zonder dat ik die songs meer ben gaan waarderen dit jaar. Gelukkig kan ik over de posities in de finale minder klagen.

Idd. De DAB+ voor Talk Talk konden we al van mijlenver zien aankomen. Bij Fade Into You had ik er nooit serieus rekening mee gehouden dat het populair genoeg kon worden voor de finale.

Vind ik helemaal niet onverwacht. Ik had bij jou die, Mobb Deep of Slint gegokt. Een van die drie.

Voor mij ook wel de beste finale ooit, dus dan accepteren we de slechte uitslag maar. Nog 6 van mijn bottom 8 over.

Ik vind 'm ook absoluut niet geniaal, wel nog steeds gewoon goed ja. Maar samen met "Heroes" en Love Will Tear Us Apart het meest overschatte nummer uit de finale, vind ik.

Echo & the Bunnymen hebben wel wat betere nummers zoals A Promise, Seven Seas, Lips Like Sugar en het titelnummer van Ocean Rain.

A Promise en Lips Like Sugar zijn geweldig maar komen niet in de buurt van The Killing Moon voor mij.
Seven Seas vind ik dan 1 van de minste nummers, zo niet het minste nummer van Ocean Rain. Het titel nr is dan (maar wel na the Killing Moon) wel weer 1 van Echo's beste.
