Een geweldig metaljaar en ook het eerste jaar dat ik nieuwe releases weer actief ben gaan volgen, na een aantal jaren waarin mijn liefde voor muziek op een wat lager peil stond. Veel om uit te kiezen dus. Uiteindelijk gekozen voor Nightwish, omdat ik die plaat nog het meest luister, en Floor.
Verder verdienen Paradise Lost, The Gentle Storm, Iron Maiden, Motörhead en Enslaved een speciale vermelding.

2015 Was een heerlijk metalen jaar, met top platen van Moonspell, Enslaved, Cradle of Filth, Marduk en Disturbed. Book of Souls vind ik na 'Somewhere in Time' het allerbeste maiden album, dus was mijn keuze voor 'metal album van het jaar' niet zo lastig dit keer.

Izah is zo'n band waar iedereen super-enthousiast over was en mij echt helemaal niks doet. Ook meerdere keren live gezien (o.a. als support van Cult of Luna), vond het nooit overtuigend.

Verrassend, ik hoor ook bij de groep super-enthousiast.
